Alex: I didn’t really mean to. I kind of of got tempted to do so. I probably won’t be playing online much in the future as the netcode simply isn’t good enough to withstand the speed and less forgiving cancel windows in this game in contrast to noob fighter IV. I was definately NOT satisfied with where the netcode is performance wise versus where it would need to be in order to provide a consistent experience. Again, I don’t think it is any worse than SFIV’s netcode in general, I just think that game masked it well with FAR larger input windows and plinking to get you through the tighter links. In marvel however, there’s just no real way to deal with the delay when it gets in the way of well thought out pressure strings and sequences.

That’s true, but why bother when the real game is offline anyway? That’s like training for two different games. Don’t get me wrong I think it’s a nice touch, but I would rather steer clear of that.
Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! I played training mode for a couple hours and then played with one of my friends online for a few more hours, and I’m definitely excited about this game. I’ll definitely be picking up a stick as soon as possible.

BBQ Friday - Whos coming? I want a headcount. I’d like to start it around ~2PM and end around 8PM. I know thats only 6 hours but someone can host an after-party or even head out to GU from here. I unfortunately have a very early day on Saturday and figure if I end it at 8PM everyone should be out by 9PM :P.

Gysbert: Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner, I missed your post. In regards to DHC possibilities, I normally don’t go for the Aerial :s: for the spike into OTG combo. Instead I followup the first spidey swing with j.:snkb: x2 XX :qcf::snkb::snkc: . This should help with connecting followup DHC setups. If not, then do :snka::snkb: Super Aimmaster instead and one or the other should work our for whoever your pairing him up with. If you do the downward super Aimmaster then you should cancel it a little sooner than later since if you wait to long he will push the opponent all the way to the ground. With my new team of Wesker and Doom I can eassily get a three level combo going by doing horizontal super Aimaster XX Phantom Dance XX Flame Sphere and it all works.

I’m on Wesker, X-23, Sent, and i tried out Wesker, Arthur, Sent and that was fun lol ugh this game needs to get here already. I’m tempted to go rent it at blockbuster until it comes in.

does anyone else have issues connecting to ranked matches or is it just me? i haven’t been able to join a single ranked match at all. it keeps saying that i got disconnected from the host.
You arent the only one, finding a match in general is hard. plus the online can be a little rough. Probably gonna avoid online. I say that now though.

Pancho’s idea to use snap back and take him out early seems like good advice. Unless he has X Factor and/or a lot of meter, he doesn’t seem like that much of a problem. That’s only my initial opinion, though.
