I got the issue also,and for some of you who dont know most magazines send out their latest issues near the middle of the month to subscribers nowadays.I got the April Issue of GamePro around Feb 25th,The March issue around Jan and so on.(btw I got 3 yrs of free Gamepro from gamespy ;P)
They already finished up everything that is LamePro,and I really doubt they would be able to have people with good photoshop abilities to make a convincing and detailed character render and screenshots like that.MvC3 was just sprites and typical “Capcom” photoshop effects done by really expereinced sprite editor(think it was Psychosquall and other from tagmonkey),TTT2 was done by a very talented graphic artist but if you examine the pics they obviously have other 3d renders from different games as the base for the screenshots.From what I can tell these pics are convincing and seem to be done from the ground up without any obvious shop flaws.Also when it comes down to the comments made by the article writer,GamePro is really typical for saying "Oh the last game was trash (even though we gave it a perfect score),we hope the sequel is better!"Along with most of the vet writers being long gone(ex.Scary Larry)
Then, if you have the magazine in your hands, post up a scan of your own. Or a photo. Or something. A second scan of the SAME THING will be enough proof that this is at least printed in Gamepro.

Thats not without saying they cant come up with exclusive information, but IGN is still unreliable at best with fucked up game information to down right FALSE information and terrible scores.
Anyway I’m going to go ahead and say it’s real. I say this because Gamespot is probably getting their “gaming scoop” from “real gamers” who apparently came to this conclusion some time after Tekken 5 that Soul Calibur was terrible.
Besides, the detail on Mitsuguri’s pants are crazy.
And people keep talking about it being PS2 exclusive and I dont find that to be a reason for doubt, especially when Namco already showed us that they wanted to please Tekken fans, the SC fans wernt too pleased about the console exclusive characters, so they probably just cut the whole ‘multiple systems’ out. So no crying about console exclusives if it’s only on one system.

well im thinkings its a 50/50 right now. Soul Calibur 3 can be real or fake. gamepors may issue usually doesnt come out yet until it hits middle april. i dont remember magazines releasing a may issue 2 months ahead of time. though screen shots does look real, but we got photoshop these days now. and right before april 1st is too suspicious. but i am aiming more towards SC3 being fake than real. if its real, then lets hope SC3 can bring some light back into the series, if not, then gamepro really really really needs help.

And before any loyal Sony fanboys come lunging at me with knives, I own a PS2, so “not being able to play it” is a non-issue. But considering that in US GC version outsold the PS2 one like mad, this sounds like a dumbass move on Namco’s part. Tanegashima(sp?): Mitsu’s rival in the original Soul Edge, you can fight him in the home port. He’s got a gun.

Han: Seung Mina’s dad/Hwang’s master, the guy is pretty much a Hwang swap though.

Heihachi: Hey if Yoshimitsu can do it, I don’t see why not, besides unlike Spawn or Link, Heihachi is a Namco character afterall.

Li Long: He’s dead in the storyline, and they already have Maxi as the nunchaku guy. But then again, Namco did bring back a lot of their “dead” characters in T5; for story purposes the Soul Edge could’ve brought him back to life, and Namco could retool his gameplay to make him different from Maxi, or at least a swappable costume like Eddy/Christie, Panda/Kuma.
