I just played some SC last night. My DC crashed after 3 matches. Looks like I’m gonna have to get this regardless of online play.
I had trouble with my 1st DC because it wasn’t reading my discs, on my 2nd DC I have trouble booting up SC, maybe my disc is dirty or got a scratch, that was the 2nd Dreamcast game that I bought… 9 years flew by
my 1st dc (from 9/9/99) still works, but I’m too lazy to hook it up to my TV (especially since I don’t have the proper wires to hook it up to my TV (don’t want lag). So laziness would be the main reason I get this. While online would have really helped, it’s not a deal breaker for me. It will give my brothers, friends, and I an excuse to play our favorite game in the series again.

Thirded-ed. Seriously, this was the BEST game in the series. I’m looking forward to SCIV, and now I’ve got this to look forward to. Year of Fighting Games, indeed.

I, too, am disappointed there’s no online versus play, but I mostly just want to play a faithful and optimised port of SC1 for the Xbox 360 first and foremost.
All Xbox live games must include some kind of live support, and so atleast we’ll have leaderboards to offer some competition for singleplayer comparrison.
And besides, for online, we’ll always have Soul Calibur 4!

no online play, no point… A dead fighting game has to have online, or there’s no real reason to buy these dead fighters. I can’t see people having gatherings for sc1, even tho its the best in the series so far, when they can do that with sc4.

They should have just packaged this in with SC4 just like they did with tekken 1-3 on the tekken 5 disc if there not giving us online play. Like others have said, theres simply no way I am buying this if theres no online.
If those are XBLA screens at the top of the page, then bleh. The graphics look off to me.
You guys never know. SC back on XBLA might bring the game back to mainstream. I see a lot of people touting their 360s to EVO and setting up make-shift tournies.
Yeah I was hyped for this, but no online play pretty much ended that. Were they having problems making it online or something? I can’t think of any other reason as to why they wouldn’t put online play in this.
because this is just to hype up soul calibur 4, theres plenty of people who would just say that soul calibur 1 is better or why get soul calibur 4 when i have a perfectly good one already
