Soul Calibur 1 coming to XBLA

I’m buying this whether or not it has online play.

Seconded. Of course I fucking love SoulCalibur, what happened with 3 was hard to swallow.

Im excited about 4, but honestly. Im happy they’re re-releasing SC. Even if it is XBLA only and without online play. Makes availible to more people and who knows, if 4 sucks ass. SC community MAY take up dat oldskool SC again.(actually, may bring it back as side tournies reguardless)

Ya know… That really kinda annoyed me when they announced it. They’re making this Soul Calibur crap too mainstream (Addition of Yoda and Darth… c’mon) The only reason thats annoying is because it would’ve been awesome if they added Virtua Fighter 1, 2 or 3 to XBLA when Virtua Fighter 5 hit the 360. But I guess that’s only because SC has more of a fan following or something.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Soul Calibur, I think it’s fun and I’m probably going to pick up SC4 and perhaps SC1 (If they have online), I just wish VF5 got some more love.

But, more on topic here. It would be incredibly silly if SC1 didn’t have online play.

I disagree. Online play is a big selling point, especially if you live in area that is devoid of local competition. In fact, nearly every fighting game that has been released for the “next-gen” consoles (both retail and digital) has this feature. Not having it is bucking an awesome trend, and it’s a shame that Namco is viewing this as a lazy cash run.

I have no idea what you’re trying to say here. Halo 1 for 360 is $15, and is essentially a dump from the Xbox 1 disc provided in a downloadable form.

Yeah the forums got kicked out of the www.soulcalibur.com. WCMaxi transferred everything to http://caliburforum.com/ to save the community. I bet many people can’t find the new link.
