I am interested in seeing the Smash crowd reintegrate into the FGC, so that we can see some of those personalities clash in a competitive scene. After the late management of the Smash only competitive scene, I guarantee there will be some interesting clashes going on this time around. Plus I believe that should the game truly bring an international competitive scene, that Sony or affiliated companies with the game (plenty!) will stand behind some of these players.
Enjoying the fact that it’s bringing the Playstation characters, despite not being as mainstream iconic as Nintendo was, into their own realm and creating a blend of a party game with the minds of a competitive player. Each character, despite having similarities (swords/guns/etc.) all play differently and there’s a lot to explore. The potential in the game is simply too good to resist and I’d love to help in any way possible to ensure it will get the proper testing done.
P.S.: Radec and the Helghast is an auto-win for me. ><
I’m looking forward to playing as alot of the sony characters I grew up on.
I’m also extremely hyped up about the stages and ho they’re combining two (usually) very different games into one stage that the brawlers fight on. So I guess what I’m looking forward to most are seeing the final selections of characters and stages.
But I’m also really looking forward to making a drinking game out of Sony All Stars >.>
Why am I excited for SPAS: BR
One: I have no intention in taking the game seriously. However, I am planning to find the potential of the game.
Two: It will remind me of an old classic game; Super Smash Bro. Melee. While the game are different and mechanic. You will feel the environment once again.
Three: It’s a party fighting game. 4 characters on a screen at once? Who wants to see a 2 vs 2 SF x TK? Game isn’t meant for that like SPAS: BR. This game is meant for enjoyment with friends and family.
Four: Characters aren’t bad. Overall, each will have a different taste and fighting style vs other fighting games.
Five: PARTY. Going to party the game all day with friends like SSB: Melee, MvC2 and other enjoyable games.
Can’t wait for SPAS: BR
I am stupidly hyped for this game. I remember training in SSBM so I could prepare myself for Brawl. I wanted to take that game so seriously. Unfortunately, it didn’t take itself seriously. I was so frustrated that Nintendo saw Melee as a beautiful mistake and sought to “fix” it accordingly. But it seems that Superbot understands this frustration. They’ve shown some serious balls by accepting the comparisons to Smash and attempting to appeal to the hardcore fighting game community. And I respect that. I’ve already got my preorder, so this is just gravy to me. I just want to get this in my hands.
Looking forward to taking some of my fellow Vegas players money again. We had an impromptu money match on PSA:BR at the booth during Evo. Shoutouts to Sweet Tooth.
The announcement of PaRappa as a playable character had me sold, but having other characters announced over time makes me more interested in the game. Although, the main reason I love this game as much as a I do is the fact that it escapes the usual 2D fighting game style through a Smash Bros. like setting, but is still very unique in it’s own right. That reason alone makes me very hyped for the game.
A special world for SPAS: BR and ME
** A special bond one cannot see**
** It wraps SPAS: BR and ME up in its cocoon**
** And holds SPAS: BR and ME fiercely in its womb.**
** Its fingers spread like fine spun gold**
** Gently nestling SPAS: BR and ME to the fold**
** Like silken thread it holds SPAS: BR and ME fast**
** Bonds like this are meant to last.**
** And though at times a thread may break**
** A new one forms in its wake**
** To bind SPAS: BR and ME closer and keep us strong**
** In a special world, where SPAS: BR and ME belong.**
SO YOU SEE I NEED THIS CODE! PLEASE!
For Playstation All Stars? I’ve got a large vendetta against my older brother for the past 10 months when he told me Sweet Tooth would destroy Kratos in a 1v1 match. To quote him, he said the fight would be like “Mickey Rooney in a Ghost Rider movie vs a very, very ashy Michael Jay White”. Here’s my chance to prove him wrong. Revenge must be mine! (with your consideration of course.)
sweet tooth and his mine throwing ability. only because this is what i do on super smash bros. with snake to piss off all my friends, but in all fun, and i plan on doing the same with sweet tooth.
Ive seen enough. Im just looking forward to the release date!
A fighting game consisting of playstation icons is something I’m sure people have been secretly wanting for years, myself included. Having an amazing dev team will help make it truly worthy of greatness!! The gameplay itself looks manic and fun, but being able to play my friends on their ps3 while I’m out on my vita (when that version is released) is incredible!
I’m looking forward to seeing if it actually does something different from SSB and is tournament worthy at the same time.
I’m looking forward to playing as a mix of classic and modern Sony characters. I didn’t realize until this game was announced that Sony has a pretty diverse cast of memorable characters in their stable. I love that their are members of the fighting game community working on the game to make sure everyone gets something out of it. I really want to see the strategies people employ to avoid being hit by certain super attacks, since that’s how you get your points. A big portion of the game is going to be both using and avoiding supers effectively, and that could make for an interesting metagame.
I was there when Crash did his first Spin into a crate, When Spyro freed his first Dragon, When Rayman threw his first fist, When Spike caught his first Monkey, When Jak and Daxter got their first Power Cell, When Ratchet and Clank saved the Galaxy for the first time, When Sly Cooper found all the pages of the Thievius Raccoonus, and Many more… To see so many classic Playstation Icons finally get the chance to fight off with each other, it would be an honor to get a chance to try the game out.
“I am lightning, the rain transformed.”
with PSA:BR coming out, I’m looking forward to where I can finally say that and not feel silly and out of place.
I’m loving the diversity of franchises represented (metal gear and infamous especially) and the fact that the game seems to be taking the best concepts of older multiplayer brawlers like Smash Bros and Ganbarion’s fantastic Jump Ultimate Stars.
I’ve got great expectations for this one.
I’m really looking forward to the characters that have yet to be announced, and the competition that the game will bring. I can already see this game being one of the best tournament compatible games on the PS3, and I’m VERY excited for that. How the un-released characters will perform is the main thing I’m looking forward to. The thing I love about the game so far is that they really listened to the community and who we wanted, and I’m absolutely blown away when they said Parappa the Rapper will be included in the game. Parappa the Rapper was one of the best games on the PS1 and for Superbot Entertainment to listen to the community and bring a Playstation1 legend in the game speaks for itself that this game will already be a top seller this year. Can’t wait to try it out!
I’m excited to see how tournament worthy this game could potentially be. It looks to be accessible to newer players, and still deep and interesting, like a grown-up version of super smash brothers. I like that it’s being balanced and given a chance to grow into a tournament worthy title. I’m liking the roster so far, as it includes some old favorites (PaRappa), and some modern day familiar faces, so there’s plenty there for players of all ages, and the combination of titles with stages is an interesting idea. Instead of having one stage per game, they’re combining multiple titles, along with obstacles in each stage to keep the action moving at a steady pace. All in all, this looks like a solid title so far, and it seems like it can only get better (unless sony blind sides us with Gems, Pandora mode and DLC. I kid, I kid).
I’m really looking forward to get this game.
But my thoughts? Don’t missunderstand me, is just my point of view.
The characters. I really think Sony is making a mistake with 90 % of ps3 characters… there are a LOT of good old legendary characters as well. I understand this is a business ( and some character licences might not be cheap ), but at least some characters from the FF saga, KRATOS!? (im pretty sure he will be a dlc in the future =/ ), new DMC Dante instead of the devil we all know ? Raziel from Legacy of Kain, what about Resident Evil ( that game was the first reason i wanted to buy my first ps1 ) and well, the list can go on and on…
On the other hand, he combat system looks amazing, some stages look sick ( the GoW with the boss in the brackground is WOW ) and I never played before Super Smash Bros, that’s why I wanna play this game so bad, as someone who loves fighting games with passion, this looks like an entire new experience to me.
What I’m waiting? endless and good netcode ( the online, because that’s the main reason I’m buying it ) and good dlc’s, let’s see what Sony has to offer.
Sony has everything on their hands, they can made one of the most epic games around… plus, they won’t have any kind of competition with any Xbox game, since they dont have any plan on doing any multi platform melee game.
Dear Sony, be a legend with this game, we don’t expect less.
Sincerely:
Every single gamer with a ps3.
pd. I have a terminal decease, so, don’t forget the beta code!
=]
I really don’t know if I’m worthy enough of getting one of these beta codes. But I thought I would give it a shot and hopefully get a chance to earn one. If anything, I get to relive some fond memories and share a piece of myself.
Growing up I was a huge Nintendo fan owning every system from the original Nintendo to the Wii. But it was the Super Smash Brothers series that really hooked me in. Thanks to this game I met some of my closest friends. We would play for hours every weekend for years throughout junior high and high school eventually moving onto Melee and Brawl. To this day, we even meet up occasionally to play. I have a lot of fond memories playing this game. I even joke, but with a lot of truth that this game kept me out of trouble. Sadly, many of the other friends I had were not the best sort of people. I am very grateful towards Smash Brothers and to my Smash buddies for accepting me into their fold.
I’m still a big Nintendo fan, but over the years Sony has become my system of choice. Games like Metal Gear Solid, God of War and Infamous have become the games of my later teenage years and young adulthood. Whether it is by myself enjoying solo play or online multiplayer with friends or fellow PSNers, or with my little nieces and nephews playing Little Big Planet. Sony has become my hub for games and multimedia. Sony has taken the pedestal as my go to system. For that I am also grateful for the countless hours of fun and enjoyment.
But it was after hearing about the release of Sony Playstation All Stars that my love and passion for gaming has rekindled. I have scoured everywhere for any news of this title since then. I am very appreciative for the chance of earning an opportunity to try this game. Despite the more sentimental nature of my entry, I am very much an avid gamer of all types of games especially fighting games. And I feel my input would be very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to read my long entry. Cheers.
