Sony Playstation All Stars: Battle Royale Comment Thread

Looking forward to picking parappa and wrecking fools with funky fresh rap stylings

Well, first of all, ive followed this game since E3, Im also a big fan of play station, i had a play station 1, and currently i have a ps2 and a ps3, I love most characters announced, I love Kratos because i played GoW2 in my ps2 ( Ive never play GoW1 or 3, but the 2 one was pretty cool ), I love Fat princess ( Sounds Weird ) because her game is really fun, is really like a capture the flag, but you can play online etc…, Im also a fan of SSB, its a really nice games, and my favorite games are the crossovers, playing with my favorite characters in a game where you can fight other characters to do the fight of the year would be cool.

Ive been waiting for this game for A LONG TIME… and the thing I love about this game are the Super Mecanics ( Its really cool, and is also unique, i want to live this unique experience ) and the Stages mashup, which i love, because the music gives me nostalgia ( Sandover music, or the Metropolis music ) and the story that is happening in the stage while you are fighting is really cool, where do you see a tribe of patapons beating uo Hades, the god of the underworld?
I really want to see how this game is.

With love.
Wolfer, the Gamer

I would love to play this beta, it remids me that Smash was the game that actually pushed me to try fighting games.
I found great series like SF,Jojo,Skullgirls,VF,MvC etc and awesome people.
So I would really like to try this beta, see for myself the soul of this sony project and obviously have mad fun with my friends.

Seeing as how the game comes out in a few months, Sony has a lot of pressure on them when it comes to making a game like this correctly. Thankfully, I’m confident that this game will manage to entertain me long enough to give me my moneys worth. Which is why I’m willing to go out of my way to play the game as soon as I possibly can! IF YOU WON’T TAKE MY MONEY THEN LET ME PLAY!!!

From day one I’ve been excited about Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. I have been a loyal Sony fan since I got the first Playstation in first grade. I’ve been following Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, and Sir Daniel for quite some time now with the first and second Medievil games being two of my most favored games of all time. (I know Sir Daniel is only a potentially fake leaked character but I really do just love him.) On top of this I am an avid fan and practitioner of the free-for-all fighting genre. I’ve been playing Super Smash Bros. for ages and I even went out of my way to get a copy of DreamMix TV World Fighters (the Bandai free-for-all fighter) because the play style is something I just have a good time with. I also play the more standard fighting games, Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Marvel Vs. Capcom, Skullgirls, Guilty Gear, and while I’ve never held a top spot on the PSN leaderboards I genuinely love the genre and try to spread the word to my friends. This game combines the chaos and read-based gameplay of free-for-alls with the execution and technique of a proper fighter and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for for years now, a bridge between the two genres that could be enjoyed by both fan bases. To put it quite simply, I love the characters, I love the stages, and I love the way this game looks like it’s turning out. I’m looking forward to an interesting game with classic characters and excellent gameplay.

Im looking to play it because im a fan of the smash bross series and even more fan of the Sony games.
So far i love the fact that Seth Killian and Clockwork are working really hard to make this game competitive and to give us a new game to the FGC.

i wanna try to unlock chuck norris. please

I’ve been a Playstation guy since, well, my childhood. I’ve watched my dad play Resident Evil, Legend of Dragoon, Suikoden, Silent Hill, etc. since I was a kid. And as a kid, I played Crash, Spyro, Tomba, and MediEvil. Naturally, I have a bit more of a connection to this game than Smash Bros.

As for what I’m looking forward to, give me Sly and I’ll be picking people’s pockets all day, every day. And (hopefully) knocking dem bitches in the head using Sir Dan’s arm!

What are you looking forward to most in SPAS: BR?
—What I am looking forward to the most is the fact that it looks like this game will be highly skill oriented. It will not be like other games where you can camp the edge of the platform and wait for a weak person to come nearby and just hit him to pick up the kill. You need to constantly be in the fight building up that super in order to be able to get a chance at a kill which I think is an amazing concept.

What do you love about the game so far?
—Obviously the supers based killing style. Other then that, the graphics look clean and fitting for a 4 player brawler type game. I also love that they are keeping us all interested and involved while waiting for the release date with the revealing of new characters and levels every once in a while.

I would love to get a beta key so I can see first hand just how the battling system and supers concept works/plays out

After leaving the Smash scene due to the faults I was having with their community (lolMetaKnight) I moved onto to Street Fighter 4, and although I love the Capcom style of games, for the mass majority of casual “bro” gamer friends I have; they were just too hard for them. So that’s why I was hyped to see another game where literally everybody could play without having to bend over to a “big” learning curve. It seems like the perfect “gateway game” for my friends to get into Fighting Games in general. Chances are, once they get used to this game; they’ll probably be ready to play Marvel 3 since both games carry similarities between each other.

Things that I love about the game so far? Probably Heihachi being playable (week 1 main for sure, EWGF all day;everyday) and the fact that Parappa’s finally returned to being a recognized as a major Sony Mascot. I can’t even explain how much I played Parappa the Rapper and Um Jammer Lammy as a little kid; Chop Chop Master onion is so GDLK!!

The thing I look forward to the most in SPAS:BR is the casual party-game-esque aspect. I think a game like this can be a good stepping stone to get non-fighting game players into the genre. As a relatively older gamer, I have a lot of friends who don’t really give fighting games a shot due to their higher learning curves. A game like SPAS:BR has both casual appeal and from the looks of it, a deeper more competitive side that can encourage players to branch out to other fighting games. So far, I really like the characters in the game and am looking forward to trying out the interesting game mechanics such as super kills. I can’t wait to get some friends together, grab some beers, and let the trash talking begin!

Fighting games have always been something of a passion of mine, starting from my first taste at the arcade up to my first console. When it comes to video games the fighting genre has always been a favorite and PlayStation has always been behind that for me. Since the PS1 I have grown to love all of the characters associated with the console, more than any other.

I would always see friends talking about this other game that brought together all of the console’s characters in one big fighter. They would always be so excited about it, but the characters never appealed to me so I would always speculate what if PlayStation had a game like this and who would be in it? Since PSAS was first known of I have followed every bit of info and it has easily become the most anticipated game of the year. I finally can get my chance to play a game with these characters I have such a connection to. To match up these characters against each other and see what happens.

Everything I see from SuperBot just excites me more and more. From the team themselves all the way to how they are making this game appeal to the FGC. It looks like a truly unique experience and the level of detail they are putting into the characters and their moves is really special. You can just sense how passionate they are about it and this is most certainly a game I will be getting. Until then, I would love to try the beta and help SuperBot in any way I can to make the game even better.

In my opinion, there are only two outcomes for this game; it will either be awkward to play and a waste of time, or an addictive time sink that will eat up all our time when we’re not practicing our main games. I’d be happy to contribute to data gathering in the beta, but if I’m being honest, then I really just want to get my hands on the game as soon as I can to see which it’ll be.

I love the choice of characters so far and how their reaching out to bring in more third parties to rumble with their own home grown characters. The way the game plays seems interesting compared to the normal party like fighters and willing to see how far it goes would be great. I want to find out just how good the online is and maybe help with any feedback I can while battling out with my friends. One thing I’m pulling for is maybe a chance Capcom will allow someone from the RE games to join in.

I’m looking forward to playing another game in what I consider to be a unique genre of fighting games. The reason I love games like these is that you tend to see a lot of great moments because most of the time things are done on the fly. That combo that finishes the game or that super that nails everyone is always exciting to watch.

So far my favorite thing is the levels. The way they mash up different games is amazing and fresh to see. I also like that many of the hazards at mainly predictable as to not interfere with players as long as they play smart and if anything could be used on other players if timed right.

have to play the game first to give an opinion of it, but it looks good.

I’m looking forward to this game for the simple fact for years people have been debating who would beat who in a video game of Sony characters, and finally debates will be decided. Who would win in a fight Cole of Nathan Drake? Lets take this to PlayStation All-Star Battle Royale and find out. I hope this leads to a new IP from Sony that we can see continue to be released for years to come.

As for feedback I go to try a game or two and I think the balance of characters was done well, also Parappa The Rapper fighting a Big Daddy was an epic showdown!

I am looking forward to see how this game plays differently than the smash series, how it compares and how it differs.
I like the interactive stages and no life bars, so it feels more like a fighting game as well instead of purely casual

It has been duly noted that this game is similar to super smash bros., however I am interested to see what separates this game from the former. The creators of this game claim that this game is not only a service to the fans on the PlayStation console, but also a competent an inherently unique and fun experience. I’m looking forward to trying this game out and hopefully agree with these statements addressed by the PR team. Oh and where’s Crash Bandicoot?

Quoted for truth.

I’ll definitely leave feedback if I can get a code. It’s a promise!
