Yeah actually I figured out my problem so I can do it in training mode at least. I also finally have an easier, no homing BnB with Kamui that’s 7000+
Your Konoha’s fire loop is a lot more consistent now, and it hurts. With that loop and the crossups, I think your Konoha is damaging me as heavily, if not more, than Kamui. (except the random 5B 5C 236AB)
Lightning arcana seems to fit my Fiona’s style, and makes Kamui less scary in general because of the clashes. I got spoiled by Fiona’s charge moves though, and I got stuffed a lot more with Lies’s charge moves.
Speaking of Lies, I really like using her, even though I am more effective with Fiona.
Fuck lightning. Seriously. FUCK LIGHTNING. Goddamn that shit’s too ridiculous.
Heh, it’s one of the few reasons Fiona doesn’t get hammered by Kamui/Konoha as much now, she actually has momentum now.
How bout Lies? How does she compare to Fiona/Saki? What are her weaknesses in general? I’m a lot more more interested in improving her compared to Saki.
For Lies, I would explore other arcanas.
Gasaraki and Aka: It’s good to see that you guys are still pluggin away at AH. I will see if I can drop by sometime in the future to see how y’all have improved.
On another note, would there be any interest in an AH tourney at Anime Expo? I was thinking of proposing the idea to the marketing people at Atlus USA, since I think(?) we’re gonna set up a booth there.
Lies, I don’t even know yet really. I just hate that doll. Fuck. Got to remember to kill it ASAP, something Konha has a hard time doing unfortunately. Kamui just kills that doll in the middle of regular combos though.
I don’t really know where you could improve, it’s not like I’m thinking “oh he’s open I can attack now”. I’m just doing whatever and hoping it works cause I can’t plan ahead like that, my mind is too slow. I suck =(

If it’s on Sat., sure I’d go if you aren’t entering. Sat. is the only day I know I can go to AX for sure, unfortunatly.
Well, I’m still not doing her more damaging combos, and had to rely on ghetto version of the loops in general. I actually waste a homing to start a combo when Lies does not require one. I whiff normals like crazy (doll-out 2C), and I am at my weakest when Sadako is dead or when I stubbornly kept her in the suitcase (so I can do the doll-in combo starter).
Fun char though, even when I butcher her combos so much. That ghetto corner relaunch combo looks cool, just weak lol.
Gonna try Fire or Gier with her next time.
Attention San Diego players… post please. Training mode makes me feel lonely, sad, and most importantly, bored out of my mind.
Let’s just say that the chance of me showing up to a tourney held at an expo is much higher than the chance of me showing up to the house of someone I know online. Should we bring our own ps2 controllers?

so far we haven’t had a “gathering” perse, just occasionally 2-3 of us meet up. Nobody has a place close enough to everyone with enough room for that to happen, and I don’t know where moltron went.

Apologies for raining on anyone’s parade, but Atlus USA actually isn’t planning on having a booth at AX this year, just a panel. So any possible plans for an Arcana tourney there just went out the window pretty much.

Heh, actually, traveling all the way to LA to attend a small AH tourney at an anime con probably wasn’t going to be a good idea. It’s probably about time I started hitting up the San Diego threads to check out what they play.

Ok since there isn’t going to be an AH tourney at AX this year, OBaloney and I have come up with a possible alternative. Check out this thread. Be sure to check the first and last posts made by Azure Macabre in that thread.
Just to give some background info:
American Melty is a series of smaller tournaments for Melty Blood. At this upcoming one, OBaloney and I thought it would be a good idea to have an AH side tourney there. We believe that this would be a great opportunity to have the first “big” AH event here in SoCal since AX is no longer an option. Just because it’s a side tourney doesn’t mean it has to be treated like one. If the turnout is good then the AH scene will be off to a good start over here. Check the dates, and let us know what you think.
moltron - I believe you’re already a member of Melty Bread. Good to see that you’re interested in MB. If you can attend AM3 that would be great.
Yeah I would love to attend, although I’m still in the baby step stages of Melty Blood, but I ordered my PC copy a couple of days ago (hooray for me! lol). So H-F Blade, what is this AM3 all about? Where is it held?
As far as everyone else wondering whats been going on with the Nextus Revolt event, its still in its baby step stages as well. The hall I found is still there and available for rent, but thats all the info I know for right now. Once I meet up with a majority of you guys and we discuss more about this then you know Nextus Revolt is on! But for now, you can still use the thread as far as regular gatherings for any fighting games (Arcana Heart, SNK, Capcom, Melty Blood, etc.). I also think this is a good way to get others into the game since I know thats what ya’ll been trying to do anyway
