The men’s stuff is such a ripoff. It has such cheap ingredients and yet goes for premium prices. It’s like they feel they should be charging men as much as women and the men are dumb enough to pay it, so they go ahead and do that.
axe shock shower gel (minty and cool).
old spice deodorant
dolce & gabbana: light blue/bleu de chanel/armani code, occasionally. (doesnt conflict with shower gel scent).
What’s funny is that I started using body wash around 07. I use to use Dial’s Soy or Shea Butter and Almond and this one that smelled like Pomegrate and oranges (I think it was oranges). I also used cocoa butter lotion which assisted the smell of the body washes. It wasn’t until I came across a popular black porn star that told me that she loves when women smell like that. At that moment I thought I should switch to Old Spice. LMAO!!!
The Dove bodywash is pretty good and it’s not marketed towards either gender. You can get them pretty cheap too off Amazon. Pack of 5 for $22, will last you awhile.
I used to always use soap but have switched more to bodywash, I am not sure why though. I guess it’s just easier. Still say get the organic stuff. If you have Trader Joe’s that place is great for soap, bodywash, vitamins, handwash, facial wash etc.
I don’t understand why anyone would be against a soap being marketed to a different gender. It’s all made up. It’s not like using a soap marketed to women will make you grow a vagina.
I think it’s more you’ve got problems if people just openly disrespect you, and you actually let it affect you. If people talk shit about me, they have the sense to do it either behind my back or on the internet like the SRK nerds do.
Honestly the only time I read about people insulting each other as normal it’s some SRK poster claiming that’s how people act. None of my friends experience it either. I mean sure a light hearted joke once in a blue moon isn’t a big deal, but if it really gets to you and it’s common, you have bigger issues than your product choice.
Besides as I stated most of this stuff doesn’t even say “for women” or “for men” on it. Probably because these companies know that the smarter men and women are purchasing the same product.
I used to use body wash, but I’ve gotten lazy and decided to switch to bar soap with no ill effects. I don’t sweat that much and awhile ago I was getting little lumps in my armpits that I thought was from the deodorant I was using so I switched to Dove (Fresh Scent), which is technicially a women’s deodorant, but it gets the job done for me.
After much experimenting, I figured out that I was breaking out because of my body wash which at the time was Old Spice.
Am i the only person who has a problem with using gel based deodorant? It dries out too easily and my armpits start getting sweaty like 2 hours after i apply it.
Gel sucks, way better off with a solid. I accidentally purchased a gel recently when trying something new. But they go so fast it doesn’t even matter too much.
