Soap and Deodorant: How do you stay Fresh?

I live in a very dry environment so I’ve tried almost every soap under the sun that doesn’t cost a mint and even a few that do. This is the only stuff that I feel clean using and doesn’t dry my skin to high hell. Everything else rips the oils out of my skin, or if they don’t, still dry me out. For a while I used Dove Winter care for dry skin with moisturizers but even that dried me out.

Since I’m bald I shave my head and don’t use shampoo. I don’t use cologne and most of the time I don’t have to wear deodorants if I’m just doing normal things, but something that’s going to make me work hard like a work out, run, or working on the car then I apply some Mitchum since it’s the only stuff that seems to work for a hard sweat.

I’ve never had a good experience with body washes, bar soap all the way

For soap, I use Old Spice Fiji body wash with a wash pouf/luffa. I use Pantene Pro-V for shampoo and conditioner and it works wonders (probably doesn’t matter so much if you have short hair, but you really do get what you pay for). Old Spice Fiji deodorant to round it out.

I’m wondering how often you wash your hair for those of you that have or have had dandruff problems, since washing your hair every day can cause your scalp to dry out. Of course this changes on a case by case basis, as some people have oilier hair than others.

I’m balding so I shave my head. I haven’t used shampoo in roughly 3 years. I still get a dry ass scalp. I use that Lubriderm men’s lotion, though. It helps a lot.

You guys should try it. It’s solid as fuck as an aftershave and it isn’t greasy. Just, trust me when I tell you this, do NOT use it for fresh tattoos. Goddamn I went down like a bitch.

Well I’d imagine not having hair to hold your oils would cause your scalp to dry out a lot faster than someone with hair. Old ass nigga.

Nah, I have a full head of hair and have no interest in tatting myself up like some thug.

If you have hair I have no idea what type of shampoo won’t leave your shit dry.

Depends on the person. In general you should probably NOT wash your hair everyday. Every other day might be good, but it depends on what type of hair you have. Currently, I wash my hair every three days and it seems to be working out better than every other day.

I wash it every day and It feels fucking great.

I wash my hair every day and there is no issue. Do you guys use conditioner? I only see mention of shampoo, so maybe you people don’t, and that could be why you’re having problems.

I dont and I still have no problems. Could just be that I have hair on par with a greek god.

If you have long hair, you can’t wash that shit every day. If you have short hair, you probably won’t even notice, although you might get a dry scalp.

I use Pantene Pro V Classic Care 2-in-1 and wash my hair every day. No issues with dryness or dandruff.

I tried to use it to jerk off in the shower once and started pissing bubbles. Don’t use shampoo for that. There are better products.

I just use body wash and wash real good with a cloth. I use a specific shampoo for the cyst in my head which I most likely got from bad haircut or unclean clippers. Then I dry off, then apply deoderant, body spray and baby powder.

Concerning hygiene, the worst thing in the world is…

Spoiler

Having to take a dump after bathing when you just cleaned that orifice.

I didn’t mention in my original post, but I also shower-shave my head. No product. Just me, hot water, and a Harry’s razor. After the shave is done, I turn the water down to cold and rinse my head a lot to close the pores, then lotion everything all up.

Conditioner, son.

Trader Joe’s has a shampoo based on rosemary oil. It’s all natural and it smells really great. None of sodium Laurent sulfate nonsense. Get that and also their conditioner.

Get it for what? My asshole hair?

I can’t use any gel based deodorants. Irritates my skin something crazy.

I don’t shampoo my hair everytime I shower. I don’t want to start balding just yet…
