Soap and Deodorant: How do you stay Fresh?

Baking soda and apple cider vinegar, with some essential oils for scent. I’ve read that’s the best you can actually make and it’s all natural. The oils you don’t really need because the stuff washes out and doesn’t leave a smell, but for your peace of mind you can put in. Peppermint oil is a popular one but there are a few.

I use:

If I got to get G’d up, I switch out the deodorant and put on the cologne:

On one of these:

I am perplexed by people who don’t shower with scrub brushes.

Towels and sponges don’t cut it for me, they don’t feel like they work even though they probably do.

I need to have that feeling of violently(yet gently) removing dirt and dead skin from my body.

NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU SCRUB, YOU WILL NEVER BE CLEAN.

Any type of mint soap is just ridiculous. That shit is refreshing.

S’how the Celts did it when soap wasn’t a thing yet(WHICH THEY INVENTED).

Lye(related to or the actual hydrated version of the chemical in baking soda, I can’t recall), animal fat, and something else that I forget.

your body odor is a result of the byproducts to the respiratory process of bacteria living on your skin. these bacteria will respond differently based on what they’re consuming in the sweat you give off. if you have poor diet and fitness, your body your body will smell bad no matter how much you scrub in the shower or what kind of washes and/or cologne you use.

Secret is top tier

They think I’m joking but I throw in bits of truth in everything!

Great men throughout history didn’t use cologne but still had a pleasant natural scent. Three that come to mind and are well documented: Alexander The Great, Julius Caesar and Jesus of Nazareth. All three of those men are well known to have a pleasant natural body odor. It has even been called a perfume.

I doubt anybody even knew what cologne was 30+ years ago let alone a hundred. People act like you need this crap when it didn’t even exist throughout most of human history. And anti-perspirant especially, you’re basically just ignoring how the body naturally deals with sweat. Just shave your armpits and use deodorant, and try to get a job where you’re not a prissy little schmuck that is expected never to sweat. Get a man’s job.

I have back pain so I have to wear icy hot cream a lot…so no matter what im gonna smell weird.

too many of u are using some barbaric soaps and brushes.

use this shit to apply soap:

That explains why Indian people have that presence to them

I can’t escape funky people, Indians at my job are walking stink bombs. It’s suicide to the nose getting an elevator with one of them.

When I was a kid my parents liked to go to Indian stores. I would refuse to go inside. You think an elevator is bad, you should see what it’s like in a closed room like a store with hundreds of them inside.

Hello I’m FGC and what is this?

As for what I use, I’ve come to the conclusion that women’s body wash is far superior to what is marketed towards us guys. For instance the Dove line of body wash for women leaves your skin nice and fresh, while the stuff they make for men is inferior. That being said, I tend to stick to the same Old Spice deodorant and I switch my shampoo up every couple of months.

The deodorant I use is…

Scent so damn good, it’s almost imaginary!

I actually use Dove beauty bar for my face. I use it for my hands sometimes too, I always stock it for my bathroom. I’ve been telling people on SRK for years to use those bars.

It’s not so much of an issue for the rest of your skin. But any glycerin soap should work, the bars are usually the best value and usually perform the best. The body washes, well, the best ones for that I think are the organic stuff, which is not marketed for men or women individually, but perhaps mostly women buy them. Yestocarrots is a good brand but there are a few. Look for tea tree oil if you can in it.

This shit right here is the best thing:

Nothing beats that mild burn lol.

Gotta get my hands on a couple of colognes, though.

I find guys body wash is just marketed to make you smell semi decent, with little actual redeeming qualities for your skin, mainly because men’s line of work is different. Guys body wash commercials just show you cool names and dude’s getting laid, whereas women’s commercials show you the benefits of their product, aside from “get clean”

Why I get Womens shit, bro.

Can’t really stand guy products since most of them just suck.
