I’m not even sure when the last time I actually rented a movie, not to mention what movie it was!
I rented Dead tone(75) from PSN. Pretty good movie. Since then It was Superman Doomsday which was like 3 years ago on xbl.
I went to blockbuster once about 4 months ago. It was like a little adventure because of all the great memories I had of it as a kid.
Wow must be a while more then 5 years now, same with games…I never rent games.

In Ga I’ve seen a lot of BB’s version of redbox popping up at quik trips all over the place. Maybe they’re gonna phase out employees except for the guys that maintain the machines lol. I rented a game like 2 weeks ago but before that I have no idea. It hasn’t seemed worth the trip for me in a while. I probably wouldn’t leave my house a lot if they had torrents for rum or had it on netflix lol.
Last time i rented a movie was a year ago at blockbuster. Their old movies used to be $2 bucks and i thought that was an ok price but now they jacked it up to $5! so i just go to redbox now
It’s been a couple weeks, and that’s because my girlfriend works there and rents most of the movies for free.
Too many years ago to even bother remembering.
The last movie I rented was Blade 3… I think. It was years ago.
Ahhh the “good old days” of video stores. I remember back in the day going with 2 of my friends to rent MK3 WHICH JUST CAME OUT!!! Friday night, the weekend.
We show up, the game was there, we pick it up and started wondering if they were going to let us rent it since the game was 18+.
We walk to the counter and the manager stops us.
Manager: "Hey guys…"
Us: "Um… ye-yeah?"
Manager: "Did you guys hear about the new console that’s coming out? The Playstation?"
Us: "Oh yeah… Heard it’s 3D!"
Manager: “Yeah it’s going to be crazy.”
Anyways rented the game, bag of popcorn and 2L of coke for like 5$ WHICH WAS SERIOUS MONEY BACK THEN!!! Went home and played this shit outta the game, not to mention start stupid rumors like everyone does when it comes to MK.
EG: “I heard that Scorpion died and got turned into a robot and is now actually Cyrax. That’s why he replaced his spear with a net.”

heh, those odd rumors were crazy about MK in particular…stuff that comes to mind that I actually heard people talk about back then:
-I heard they got Al Bundy as a secret character!
-I heard that one of those trees with the faces in the background can eat whoever lost the fight…it’s like a Pit Fatality, man.
-(part 1) Naw man I SAW it…Goro did a fatality on me! He ripped each limb off… it only happened that one time though…
-“My copy of MK2(snes) just started doing some MK3 stuff!!” <–my ol’ habitual liar friend…he would lie about anything and everything, no matter what.
-EGM posted a trick of how to unlock “Nimbus Terrafaux”, which of course was the April Fools’ gag that year, I think. Nimbus Terrafaux was a random black guy in a black/red gi.

----------back on topic… I remember one of the Blockbusters in Memphis that we went to conveniently had a Little Caesar’s right next to it! Ohhhhh those were the days…get an LC’s pizza + CRAZY breadsticks/sauce (and later they would introduce their “Cheezy Bread” which was even better than the regular Crazy Bread) and stop by Blockbuster to rent a game for the PERFECT weekend…hell yeah.
SF2 had the best rumors back in the day. And by “best,” I mean “most retarded.”

I haven’t rented a movie in at least 6 years. In fact, I don’t think I know anyone that’s rented a movie in the past few years.

MK2 rumours where the shit. I remember being told about a Sub-Zero choo choo train fatality. Said person then proceeded to ‘try’ to do this move. Of course there were so many excuses as to why it didn’t work. Good times.
On topic, I haven’t rented film for about 10 years. Got a blockbuster card and all but let other people use it. Last game I rented :- International Track and Field on the PS1. More than once as well. Going for those records was fun. Pole Vault still gives me nightmares to this day…
I got some movies out of Redbox around May or June last year. Before that it was midway 2008 at Family Video.
Now I have Netflix.
Just started using redbox. $1.63 blu-rays ftw!
