So... Tiers anyone?

Having his super changes the game like most charcs on this game. By him having his super ur more weary of throwing fb n Honda can play that to his adv

Not in VST.

I don’t care one bit when he has his super on st

The only time it mattered is when one hit of that super would chip you to death. Stored super in that situation is virtually unbeatable.

Using a regular headbutt is better for chip because it is much harder to react to. Once someone sees that super flash they do their move and boom lol. Stored super is really only useful in the mirror.

Super flash eats inputs, so no they can’t do their move

Want to bet?

Alright, make a video of you hitting 100% reversal after a super flash against well timed honda super

Online its super hard to reversal immediately after someone does their Super.

Offline however, I can reversal after a Super flash all the time(If I see it coming that is…).

LoL this thread topic seems to put a lot of debate and disagreements on tiers.

In my personal opinion on the tier list and matchup difficulties vs blanka:

Top tier:

Claw (Blanka 3 - 7 Claw)
Boxer (Blanka 2 - 8 Boxer)

High tier:

Ryu (Blanka 3 - 7 Ryu)
Sim (Blanka 4 - 6 Sim)
Sagat (Blanka 3 - 7 Sagat)

Mid tier:

Chun (Blanka 4 - 6 Chun)
Dictator (Blanka 5 - 5 Dictator)
Honda (Blanka 4 - 6 Honda)
Ken (Blanka 4 - 6 Ken)
DJ (Blanka 3 - 7 DJ)
Guile (Blanka 6 - 4 Guile)

Low tier:

Gief (Blanka 6.5 - 4.5 Gief)
Fei (Blanka 4 - 6 Fei)
Cammy (Blanka 4 - 6)
Blanka
Hawk (Blanka 6.5 - 4.5)

Blanka owns bison pretty hard, no clue on that

I think blanka rocks sim as well. the claw match up doesn’t look right either, I play claw and I don’t feel that blanka is that easy to walk over.

I will never forget back in the day when BTC told me fighting my Bison was like fighting a Bison on crack.

Blanka does not own Bison. Its like saying T.Hawk owns Bison (and he doesn’t).

Blanka is that easy to roll over.

Dictator beats blanka. It’s like 6-4 dictator. Gief also beats blanka, at low level it seems like blanka wins, just like claw vs blanka at, but high level play is a different ball game, once gief gets in once which isn’t hard (ESPECIALLY HDR GIEF), its over. Even with blanka’s reversal hop to avoid tick throws, you can just use running bear instead of spd, once he’s cornered it’s GG.

Also, I’d say blanka vs guile is 5-5. I’d also say blanka beats ken at like 6-4.

Pun intended right?

I refuse to answer on the grounds that it would make me a jackass.

Nobody cares if your puns were intended.

Why?

Which part? Guile? Guile has the tools to keep blanka out, he can also safe jump blanka on knockdown and guiles cross up can be pretty ambiguous versus blanka’s weird hitbox and if you’re like me and can hit confirm a super combo, bye bye blanka. He st short beats the slide but he loses the charge, guiles st.mp (uppercut) is really good at AAing blanka, j. fierce and j. strong are also really good versus most of blankas ground game and can beat the upball and slide if spaced correctly. Muteki even put the match as 6-4 in guiles favor.

I think it’s a pretty balanced match, if blanka gets in he can do great mixups versus guile, but guile can keep blanka out pretty well. Even Cr. Fierce works sometimes as a trade vs blanka, but in blankas favor, but its worth it to keep im out, I say this because I main both of them and know the match pretty damn well.

As far as ken goes, he doesn’t have ryu’s j. strong that is extremely annoying, he doesn’t have the st. roundhouse either, so blanka can jump when he normally cant versus ryu. Kens fireball recovery also sucks ass and his overhead is extremely telegraphed.

“No harm intended”
