As long as the frame rate, game feel, and normal throws aren’t like XDZW. The original trailers for XDZW had pretty good frame rates then it look like they throttled the game later on. XDZW just doesn’t look good in motion for me with how it is now.
Hopefully they cash in on the Orochi saga again ( Kappa to that other guy that didn’t want them to do this) but with a little something new on the side obviously.
We need Chizuru, Shermie back looking as kawaii than ever, Yashiro back at his high tier, and Chris back at his high tier glory. Ah’ 98…
I honestly feel like they should just forget a story entirely, make a dream match, have Rugal invite everyone to a tournament again, throw in as many characters as you possibly can, and make a definitive “current gen” KoF game. Like, 98 is such a good game that it is basically the go to KoF in most countries. When 98 isn’t the go to, it’s some version of 02. And those two games and their variations get more play than every other KoF ever because of how good they are. I don’t feel like XIII holds up to this and people are going to stop giving a shit when it stops being the new KoF. They need a game with the roster and movelists of a UM game, everything else is secondary. They need a game that is going to bring in KoF players of any game, and that is purely going to take characters. Hopefully the mechanics are also very solid and designed well, which I think SNK is more than capable of doing, but if you take away the argument of “I would play it but ________ isn’t in it,” you’re going to pull in numbers.
this short movie tries to unite KOF, FF and Garou, demonstrating that KOF took place in the same timeline as FF
Rugal is also mentioned, Geese and Kain too.
SF4 is 3D with a 2D feel and not a single instance of the game is screenshot sprites. Again, there is no reason to assume it won’t just be full on 3D models in a 3D world running in real time like SF4 or Xrd are.
Siliconera got in touch with SNK Playmore to ask whether it’ll be a 3D game, to which they responded, “Indeed, a new installment in 3D in the KOF series is currently in preparation.”
What makes you say that? It’s a very Japanese thing to refer to the game as 3D because of the models. ASW calls Xrd a 3D game. I don’t think Japan even uses 2D and 3D to refer to gameplay like North America does.
