Use RR or Ammy as your training dummy, set them to crouch and practise it over and over again. The timing isn’t so bad, just gotta keep doing it until its natural for you.
it’s pretty easy to land his instant overhead on a crouching RR or ammy; however, i’m not sure it’s possible to land it on them if they’re already in blockstun from an assist unless you have berserker charge or x-factor activated. i guess their crouching hurtbox shrinks while in blockstun.
Yeah they sort of go from one hurtbox position to another depending on the assist that’s putting them in blockstun, with one position being hittable and the other being to small (at least with RR he has one part of the animation you can hit).
Ammy’s animation seems to keep her constantly too low.

ive messed with wolverine a little in the past to just get accquainted with various characters, some of my friends are going to evo and they want wolverine matchup experience. WE live on a tiny little island with shitty internet connection so i’m the guy who is suppposed to play wolverine/spencer/doom or wolverine/spencer/frank. All i know of this character is what i see jsutin wong do and even then i’m not sure i’m doing it right. I’ve got some things that I’m looking to work on, if maybe some of you guys can let me know if what i’m doing is optimal or if should be trying to add a different notation?
LMLHS, sjMMH d+H, s HS, MMLHS, dash back+spencer, slide, H berserker barrage xx fatal claw, dhc spencer.
on incoming, spencer+berserker slash, (how do i follow up this confirm?)
I’ve seen justin wong do these combos where after confirming a berserker slash into the berserk charge move, he does like some berserker barrages into launch .Not exactly sure what the notations for those combos are. Can someone help?
what is the correct way to confirm the IoH jL? is it two jL x factor jS or something else?
ive played lot of wolvies backed with plasma beams before and the shit was frustrating. Between shopping cart and beam, what works out more for wolverine? i see they are really similar but it seems like beam is better for neutral and keeping berserker slash’s safe, while cart is better for lockdown and baiting a low or instant overhead. Is there an aspect i’m overlooking?
if i get an airthrow and i do the slide x factor cancel, what is the proper notation for the wolverine combo? sometimes i’m too fast so i’m assuming i’m doing the wrong combo lol.

yeah, that’s his basic bnb; although, you forgot to include drill claw in the notation.
if b.slash hits before assist, you have time to follow up with whatever you want. if assist hits before b.slash, then you’re going to have to spend meter with b.charge to follow up. you’re using slant shot assist right?
forget jwongs b.slash/charge combos; they’re not very good. my slash/charge bnb does more damage and builds less meter for the opponent. here: slash xx charge, dash cr.M, st.H xx L or M slash, dash cr.M, st.H xx M slash, dash cr.M st.HS, sj.MMLH xx drill claw + divekick, st.HS, sj.MMLHS…and you know rest(note: be sure to adjust timing of certain moves, or add a berserker barrage or two, in order to carry opponent into corner. you should always carry to corner. i’ll give you an example if you need one.).
a) call assist, dash j.LS (land as assist juggles opponent) st.L or M and so on.
b) fuzzy guard j.LLS (land) st.L and so on. or: fuzzy guard j.LLS xx drill claw divekick (note: doesn’t work on some characters out of corner.
c) j.L xfactor, falling j.ML (land) dash(if needed) st.LMH and so on.
tatsu is better than both of those up close.
slide otg xx xfactor st.LMHS and so on. you can also do this after the xfactor cancel: j.LMMLS (land) j.MMLS (land) st.MHS, sj.MMLH xx drill claw + divekick, st.HS, sj.HS…
This goes to my lack of game knowledge, but is there anyway to test in training mode whether you are pulling off the fuzzy guard link listed above? In other words, how can I tell if my jump l, falling s, jump l,l,s into standing l is actually working? Or is this something that I can only pull off in an actual match?
there are a few ways to practice the j.LLS > st.L fuzzy guard link in training room. in order to practice these by yourself, you just need to figure out how to get the dummy stuck in its standing block animation as it guards against low attacks. i usually just set a standing dummy to “all guard (high, low only)”-- for some reason the dummy doesn’t block high/overheads with this guard type selected–and have it block one of my assists whose last hit produces a decent amount guardstun. then its just a matter of dashing in and making sure you connect your first j.L while they’re still stuck in their standing block animation. if your just trying to practice linking the st.L after j.LLS–it’s a pretty tight link most of the time, after all-- be sure to let the assist’s active frames finish fully before you IOH.
another really easy way to practice the st.L link part involves the H&H card that allows you to dash cancel grounded normals. set dummy to same as above and make it block st.H (st.H and j.S produce similar blockstun). so, this: st.H xx dash cancel j.LLS (land) st.L.
you can always just record the dummy blocking high for two seconds, then low. reset the round and hit playback, then immediately dash in j.L, deep j.S (by this time, the two seconds you recorded the dummy blocking high are up and is now guarding low) dummy is stuck in standing blockstun, (dash if necessary) j.LLS, st.L…
Hey guys. I have a quick question. I’ve been curious about Logan and wanted to pick him up for knowledge of the character. (match-ups stuff/ Possible counters etc.)
So I’m using PR rogs team right now and wondering. Is there a special trick or timing to that knockdown into Assist then cr.M? Especially with vergil I’m having issues.
I’m doing L M H S > M M H x Drill Claw x Dive Kick > St. H S > M M H S then trying to call Vergil as soon as possible for the cr.M pick up into tornado claw xx super. But that timing seems so inconsistent.
Is there something I should know? Or am probably doing wrong?

Does anyone know the trick to landing the fatal claw loop of off OTG medium jam session? I’m very inconsistent with connecting the loop with that assist.
Also does anyone know how to do the TAC bait reset with Wolverine?
there are a bunch of different ways of doing it. the most common way goes like this: (after divekick ground bounce) cr.H, S, j.L, option select throw/j.H xx drill claw ~ divekick.
There’s some Bnb I always see J. Wong and PR Rog do where they end with tornado claw xx fatal claw xx tornado claw xx fatal claw. Any know what combo I’m talking about and or the notation for it?
