Humor is the mind’s reaction to sincere shock/danger/attack that the mind then sorts out as being harmless to the self (or the self’s world, including others you care about).
That photo is amusing to some of you because you sense the attack/danger in it as shock, but you resolve that it does not harm you.
But this is not a harmless picture, and it is very possible that the attack is not something that is viewed as harmless to the subject.
Do you want YOUR image getting entered into the web as a crass demeaning joke, to bounce around and pop-up for eternity.

Flat out image based character attacks on people is just asking for a nasty war where there are no rules.

The only problem that I have with the sand/vagina picture is that it unfairly singles out an individual vagina, and misses all the other vaginas around here who have their lips wrapped about SnakeEyez member, like you do.

For the umpteenth time, Damdai never even tried to make the point that SnakeEyez’s victory wasn’t deserved. He simply contested the idea that SnakeEyez’s performance was comparable to elite players who use the same character in another game.
If SnakeEyez had won at Super Turbo, then yes, the comparison would of course be valid. But he didn’t win at ST. He won at HDR, where – and I’m sorry if this offends SnakeEyez’s fanbois (well, not really, but you get my drift) – the tiers are deliberately compressed, and Zangief is significantly more powerful than he was.
All this crap about impugning SnakeEyez is just emotional, poorly thought out, kumbaya-singing b.s. The objective fact is that HDR Zangief doesn’t have an uphill climb of the same severity as ST Zangief. That is a FACT. Winning with him is not child’s play – he’s not Claw, and SnakeEyez’s victory was still very impressive – but he simply doesn’t compare to ST Zangief in the difficulty department.
Yes, SE is a superb, A-list player. Yes, he deserved his win. But he did NOT play ST Gief, and no one – not Sirlin or anyone else – can logically compare his performance to someone who plays ST Gief, any more than Sirlin could logically compare (for example) his own HDR Cammy to Mr. Jangara’s ST Cammy, or Nakamura’s ST Cammy, or his HDR Fei Long to Jumpsuit Jesse’s ST Fei Long – all of which characters are significantly easier to play effectively in their HDR forms.

I have to agree with SweetJV (I seem to do that a lot, you’re so smart SJV! LOL). This thread has kinda got out of hand. I really like Damdai and Snake Eyes and I think everyone else may be making more out of this than there is.
Milo: I don’t think that many of the people that were defending Snake Eyes were SE “fanboys” as you call it as much as they were defending the game that they enjoy. I think a lot of the HDR faithfull have had it with all the “this is baby SF” and all the implications that HDR players are somehow inferior to ST players.

Wrong. You are TRULY oblivious to the fact of why everyone is making rebuttals to your defense to Damdai and to both of your hard-on hatred to Sirlin’s article. How did damdai discredit Snake Eyes, you ask? Are you seriously asking this question? What is the name of this thread? This is a thread where everyone visited to congratulate Snake Eyes in winning 1st place at EVO. Damdai could have easily started a new seperate thread titled, “Sirlin’s Miracle Man of Evolution 2010 article is a joke” Instead he chose this thread of “all thread to do so”. Which really appears he’s trying to be a good sport by saying congratulation Snake Eyes you deserve it but only because your Gief is broken in THIS game. This is what set the chain of post in motion and what you described earlier as fanbois of Snake Eyes.
And here and as with the theme of most of your posts have been centered in your self-evolved hatred towards Sirlin’s article. Let’s agree here: HDR Gief buffed compared to ST Gief. Yep, we all agree. Since day 1 of HDR, we knew that. It was mentioned in Sirlin.net on changes that were made in HDR and on Capcom-Unity for those following the news release there. This should not be a shocking news flash to anyone that’s been aware of HDR late 2008.
So Sirlin made an off-the-cuff comment about the difference of intensity of playing against Kuni and Snake Eyes based on his personal experience in one sentence and you and damdai began to cry. Why? As even Sirlin said, so what if he did? The whole article was written solely on Sirlin’s experience at EVO 2010 and the players he interacted with including Kuni. Sirlin’s little comparison struck me as not SE was better than Kuni, but SE was very hungry to win and it reflected in his intensity in the matches when Sirlin played against him. Sirlin was obviously not ready for that and perhaps never felt that same aura of intensity in a sense. Meaning SE might have came in with something to prove, to himself, two, he’s the underdog and three, he’s using a pad. Have we all truly accepted pad players as legit players as of today? Be honest with yourself here. You and damdai totally made a big deal over nothing. Most people, including competitive players didn’t even draw that same conclusion you guys came up with after reading his article. So again, who cares?
What REALLY drove damdai to post is not what you pointed out earlier which was damdai was upset because Sirlin was amazed at Snake Eye’s performance. It could be true or even obvious to those that went to EVO, that damdai was most likely pissed that he used his shoto warrior and lost to Snake Eyes and then counterpick with Honda, thinking this should be an easy win for him, and lost there too. One might conclude that this is the point of origin where damdai got pissed and then weeks later making an out-of-character post in this particular thread, of all threads. Thus why other players are using that popular internet forum term that we are reading so loosely “salty”.
Damn, there is some hostility in this page! I honestly think that Decoy’s post on page 4 sums it up the best. SnakeEyez is a good Gief player and he did well it isn’t all because of the buffs Gief got that made him win it. I don’t understand why there is so much anger in this room.
While we are at it though I am just gonna go ahead and say how much I hate E. Honda in remix straight up Sirlin, throw me a bone here the most boring and dumb fight for blanka (no offense egotrip, or x64 honda is just one of those characters i think is super lame)

How to score a legit win at next years Evo?
To avoid this years mess, in addition to winning Evo 2011, the following conditions must also be met by each character?
Ryu: Must not use fake fireball.
E. Honda: Impossible. If a Honda player wins the final, first place will be automatically awarded to his opponent.
Blanka: Will never happen. Blanka players don’t go to Evo because they’re afraid of Honda.
Guile: This will generally be accepted as a legit win. However, a future revision to HDR will remove c.Forward from the game.
Boxer: Impossible. It has been well documented by Mr. Irrepressible that Boxer is broken.
Ken: Must not use Fierce Shoryuken versus safe jump attempts.
Chun Li: Only if she is used by a real-life asian chick.
Zangief: Must win Evo by defeating Afro Legends, John Choi, Damdai, and DGV, pad or stick is okay. Must defeat the best players in casuals afterwards. Must perform a duet with Celine Dion for Evo attendees. (This is where Snake Eyes dropped the ball.)
Dhalsim: Must defeat all his opponents using yoga teleport exclusively.
Sagat: Must use either low or high tiger shots. Cannot mixup both.
Vega: Must also win SSF4 tourney using Vega.
T. Hawk: Must defeat Honda in finals without using Jab.
Fei Long: Fei is legit unless Sirlin wins.
Dee Jay: Must warn his opponent before attempting a cross-up.
Cammy: Must not use Canon Drills. Safe-on-block Canon Drills is baby zone.
Dictator: Must perform TOD combo twice in one round.
