Dante has soooo much going for him its not even fair. Next Evo will have a Dante in every team in the top 8 and all of them will have a different playstyle. So hype.

Yea I plan on utilizing DT a lot if it turns out to not suck, so he will probably be my second character, played behind someone who can build up a decent amount of meter or played on point with a meter building assist.
Dante can build good meter just by engaging the enemy. In all honesty I don’t see “Battery” strategies being as effective here as they were in MvC2.
Don’t mean to sound noobish but what is the “Battery” strategy?
Although there isn’t a need to, I think it would be pretty awesome 
When you use a character who can build meter well and doesn’t require meter to do well before tagging in a character who relies on meter/can burn meter realy well.
It’s true though! He’s good at building meter in DMC3 too. My main strategy against final boss Vergil was to chip him out until I had enough meter to open him up and land a million dollar xx HSF DHC. From there it was a couple rocket punches till victory.
There’s a lot of fighting game concepts that lend well to the DMC series. It’s a credit to the awesome combat design.

I mean, I’ll play him every so often because I’ll play everyone. I just won’t main him. Not my style. Not to mention, I’d like to actually beat DMC3 before I do (I would now, but my PS2’s being an absolute bitch with my controllers…).

We already knew you could. It’s just USELESS most of the time because they’ll usually keep attacking anyway.
