I don’t know if that’s the case, most of the complaints seem to be aimed more toward difficult/lucky/tedious online ones like C to shining C or Play against all characters, things that rely on someone else. Personally there should definitely be an online achievement or two to encourage people to play online, but they should be more thoughtful and less grindy/luck based. I mean something simple such as “Play as every character online” is still a damn sight better, encouraging folk to try every character against a human opponent but win/lose doesn’t matter (though hopefully there’s something a bit more interesting than that).
**Switzerland - Dont hit the opponent and Don't get hit for x amount of time**

ZA WARULDO!: Crush your foe with a steamroller
Get your head in the game: Use your head 10 times in a match.
Everything +the kitchen sink: Win with Peacock going solo.
IIRC Mike was saying that if you start command or super throw and time runs out while you performing it, you will get your damage nonetheless. Then how about giving achievement for such occasion? Namely
I got this from somewhere else but cant remember where i got it from, but an achievement where:
With a 2-man team, perform a DHC into the second character, then DHC back into first character.
I like that one since it would teach people than you can DHC -> combo -> DHC.
Major Headache - With Ms Fortune, spend more time in the match with your head off than it being on.
Homerun - Snapback your opponent by snapbacking your own head as Ms Fortune
Holy Smokes! - Finish off your opponent with Peacock’s Level 3 super
The Pain Train - Soak up X amount of damage with Painwheel’s super armour moves.
FATAL KO - Kill off a character with one combo.
By our powers combined… - Perform a DHC combo with 3 characters
What’s meter management? - Perform a combo which uses all 5 of your super levels.
Maybe I’m an outlier or something, but I don’t think most fighting games have set high enough goals for online play. I’m a huge online monster and I want an epic journey of an achievement, like 1000 wins or something. I’ve blown through all the other ones in other games way too fast. C to shining C was pretty satisfying but that’s still something I’ve long since completed. I’m guessing not a lot of people are down with me on this, but surely there are at least a few?
With time I think that will improve, online play is probably the biggest reason fighting games have seen a resurgence recently, but they’re just still too arcane for the average person to continue playing for very long before being continuously dominated by people who are more willing to put in the time to learn it. Skullgirls is important for the sustainability of the genre I think, because in it’s current state it’s going to lose mainstream appeal again very quickly and go back to being underground due to being so inaccessible.
I’ll stop talking now, I don’t have any achievement ideas and I’m helping derail the thread
I rather see something more creative than winning x times, something that feels like a quest of some sorts. I don’t have any ideas right now, but if I can think of anything I’ll post right away
Just a few things-
1- Will the game have a Platinum trophy? The least number of trophies a PS3 game has that makes elligable for a trophy is 25 trophies (so 25+1 platinum= 26)
2- Can you make some online trophies seperate from the ones needed to get Platinum?
I kinda like the viral-ish one I’ve seen in some games, like ‘Beat somebody from Reverge or someone who has’. But I dunno, it might be a thing where either everybody has it and it’s easy, or nobody has it and it’s a pain in the butt. Maybe beat a top-rank player? I think I saw somebody suggesting that…
Maybe: “beat an OG that has played a beta version”, if you can actually compile all those gamertags 8)
I’m still okay with a 1000 win grind though, because it won’t even feel like a grind, at least not to me.
