Here’s a news flash: you don’t get to determine what game is “worthy” of going to Evo.
SG is going over GG, BB, and pretty much every other game save maybe Melee because the organizers decided “worthiness” meant “putting your money where your mouth is”, and none of those communities have stepped up to the plate.
If all you can do is flail around and talk about what people “want to see”, then I hope you’re not surprised when that does nothing for what game you “want to see” at Evo over SG.

You can throw a ton of money at a shit game, and it does not make it less of a shit game. Skullgirls will remain dead whether or not Evo takes it, and you’ll have a record low number of entrants for an Evo main game. Bet it.

Nah, I don’t think Johnny Scrub is going to enter. You’re going to get the ‘hardcore’ which are niche group, and then the people who are hardcore about other games that have godlike fundamentals and will body the SG ‘community’ for free because they don’t even play their own goddamn game anymore, and then a week after Evo the game will wind up in the grave again just like it did a week after Civil War when people realized what high-level play in SG looks like.

We had 100+ entrants as a side tourney without the benefits of being main stage or any pot bonuses that go with it while using Vanilla SG. Oh, do please continue entertaining us with your amusing predictions.
Vanguard Princess is dope. But talk is cheap. If you want to bitch about how this “unworthy” fighting game is making it in over other “worthier” titles while doing nothing about it, then go ahead. If you try hard enough we might remember you and laugh as we enter the venue with a spot with our name on it.

If you see correlations in MVC2 and Skullgirls besides the fact that you can ‘both have 3 characters’ (maybe) and ‘there are assists’ then you don’t know shit about Marvel 2. Skullgirls is almost entirely ground based, and slow as fuck. MVC2 is about Aerial combat and footsies and projectile battles, is about 200% faster and has way more character variety, even in competitive play.
