Skullgirls Nominated for 8th Slot at EVO

No don’t leave D: Please, you are one of our powerful community hearts, we need all the hearts we can devou-I mean get!

Plus I love you ;____; shot

Just put him on ignore until it’s over. Hopefully he’ll stop being emo once it’s over.

Blame Microsoft for the patch issues- it’s their system that is messed up- it’s really biased against the little guy. I’ve heard some nightmare stories.

Me or SpaceOutNightmare?

According to the twitter, we got James Chen on our side. Or at least he thinks Skullgirls deserves it more.

Do you have a link?

Its more that he is neutral between melee and sg. Let me try to shift the balance, can’t promise anything by myself though in regards of James Chen anyway

edit: Still worth venturing though, his support would be a great asset for us

5k+ for Skullgirls? I’m pretty proud of this community. Let’s keep it going. Skullgirls is awesome. So are cancer-free titties.

Hey look, ppl talking abt SG again. Hopefully that converts into new players. That’s all I really care about, tbh.

Guys I’m a bit stumped. I’ve gotten so much advice from everywhere, but I just can’t seem to absorb it.

How do I create a local scene? How do I gain interest for a game? I want to create a las vegas skullgirls community, but I don’t know how to go ahead and do that. I can’t make people like the game, but I want to somehow get people interested to try it.

There was always people talking about SG. We have several active threads in regards to this. Srk is our home since the creation of a “Official” forum website never happened. Of course the prospect of this publicity attracting new players is also nothing to sneeze at

I mean people outside of this forum talking about SG. This is the only place for like months that I know of that has been interested in SG.

I’m no connoisseur in this type of thing, but here’s a few ideas. You have anyone you know nearby you that plays fighting games? Start talking to them about setting something up to play whatever. (doesn’t have to be SG) Get to know some people and see what they’re into. I know that a large portion of people I’ve played it with were friends who I knew pretty well. I didn’t try to just go full blast on “You should play this.” either because that can be kind-of abrasive. Hell, even if you just get more people who just want to see more content from the game before really trying to play it you’ll still have helped.

The only people I know that would be willing to help me probably is my fighting game friend or my cousin who is really good at Marvel 3.

Go to local events and weeklys. See if anyone else is interested. Network, network, network.

You start there then. Just try to get something started even if it’s only like two other people at first. Also, check out the regional forums for stuff not sure what you’re into aside from Skullgirls ,but it’s worth at least searching out. Oh, and if you’ve got a reply to this stuff I’d suggest PM-ing, because I don’t want to make this thread anymore more of a mess than it has to be. :stuck_out_tongue:

I just show up to casuals with my setup and play people online lol

True there are three players who play SG but one is too far into P4A that it’s beyond repair, and the other two are 360 players so they haven’t played much of it recently. And they also don’t show up very often lol

Right, sorry for getting off track. I probably should of took it somewhere else. Also it appear the smash community is planning on trying to get Screwattacks attention to their community.

I got in contact with Graham of Loading Ready Run to see if they’d mention it on their parody news show Check Point. Unfortunately they’ve already recorded next week’s episode. However their community is pretty open to donating to charity. Every year they do their Desert Bus For Hope and last year raise something like 480k for Child’s Play. Of course I don’t know how they’ll take to the idea, but the worst thing that could happen is none of them donate.
