yo, I posted about the donation drive on tumblr, Monday morning.
Considering I’m not exactly a “well known” entity, like anywhere. I’m pleased on the attention its stirred on there. I have follow up posts planned on 10, 5, and Last Day left. As well as an Aftermath “further rallying the troops” post, regardless of what happens.
I’ll “tumbl” out the Salty Cupcakes link and an update on the current status at that time before I leave for work Thursday evening.
I’ve been pushing links(lightly…right now, as we get closer to the end I plan to hammer) at friends on Facebook…I’ve been failing on the twitter side, time to get on that. Me thinks.

Well, good job guys, getting 4k ain’t no small achievment, you’re first, not second after MLP, first. Now, if the Melee community do surpass this, don’t start crying, SG has been first (second after MLP) most of the time after the rule change. You have nearly a 500$ advantage. Keep this, keep donating and don’t hate Melee for doing so. This is a competition and you know what? You’re winning. On Melee boards, they ain’t crying because they don’t have the advantage, they are hype about this, they are preparing a big donation (a podcast I think) and they even are trying to get you a event at their national.
Like I had said before, even if they do make their 4300, we shouldn’t give up hope. If we work our asses off, we could somehow catch up to them. No more crying, no more complaining.
SkullGirls community, we are going to take a heavy hit, a BIG FUCKING HIT, they WILL reach the $1000 donations I guarantee that, but don’t let that stop us. We reached 4k, maybe if we work hard enough before they get the 4300, maybe the gap won’t actually be that big. Keep fighting! Keep fighting the good fight!
