Skullgirls Gameplay Discussion Thanks For Playing

So I’m curious on the community’s thoughts on the following statement:** Parasoul is possibly the best solo character in the game.**

She has amazing pressure and very safe block strings, especially with the help of napalm tear. In the corner, she’s an absolute monster with or without assists. She can open people up with the two overheads she has, overhead >> low kick >> Overhead > Egret Roman Cancel is super dirty. She has some of the best pokes in the game, and I would say it’s safe to say overall she has the best normals in the game (she is a charge character after all). She can zone with the Bike Egret and tears along with shots. She has probably the best air grab in the game. I can’t think of another character who creates more difficult situations on incoming characters, because she can lay out tears and call the bike. I run Parasoul/Valentine (Caliper) but I’m considering maybe just running solo.

Man I was saying that back in OCTOBER. I’m really hard pressed to find glaring weaknesses with her.

I cannot say this enough:

If you run Paraoul Solo, run Para/copter.

completely worth the sacrificed damage/health.
your defensive and offensive options go through the roof.

Just. Do. It.

I’ll kind of steal what Guitalex said in another thread about solos.

Almost every character has the capacity to be a solo, because almost every character has a myriad number of tools.

The only character that I don’t see being successful SOLO is Peacock, I think her dead zone is too big of a risk, but I could be wrong, since I have been beat by a solocock before.

I agree entirely, and well I would not be surprised if this became the next Peacock/Double for this game :stuck_out_tongue:

I would say mobility in the Parasoul vs Peacock match up since Peacock beats her outright in the zoning game, Double assist can cover that though.

However I think Peacock vs Parasoul is always in Peacock’s favor.

yeah man. i mean, you can put people in a position where:

a) they can’t get in. tears everywhere and copter covering your front. at full screen, only cock can do something about it.
b) in the corne, there’s no way they are going to block/tech everything, you can slip in two overheads while the copter is active. if you are constantly changing up your pattern, then they have to guess. and there is a way to time the copter so you get pretty much infinite pressure.

as for weaknesses on solo nazi, yeah her mobility can be a hinderance in some matchups, particularly cock.

Maybe someone should preemptively tell Mike to nick that assist while he’s at it, haha.

KenmastersX’s Parasoul/Cerebella team stomped on me for those reasons.

I would go in, get Cerecoptered, into the corner, Princess would dash in, Cerecopter again, mixup overhead/low/grab (I literally could not see what Parasoul was doing because of Cerebella’s arms flailing about.)

He said that solos can’t take that team, and as of right now, I agree, I need to become a better solo.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

This.

Mashing the 360 isn’t the answer to everything, especially considering Titan Knuckle has better range, and Merry-Go-Rilla comes out quicker and you can combo off of it. The only time mashing is recommended (at least to me) is when your facing that Sugar Rush, and they’re going for the quick reset to start their Neverending Combo.

team is godlike cause i actually can’t god damn see parasol, not because the mixups are good

I could see Parasoul decently, I just got hit a lot because it was too much for me to handle and my brain turned to mush.

Her poor mobility.

The mixups are VERY good if the person knows what they are doing.

Ah, her mobility is fine as its her range that does all the real work.

so basically you are saying you can never punish with bellas (only) super that is actually useable. since all characters have different weights, it doesnt matter what your starter combo is, the characters can be at the same height and they still pop out.

and yes i have tried all of these and been in training mode to test them all. dont even try to argue that it isnt totally stupid that if i (or any player) sees an oppertunity to dish out some serious damage to an assist, which could easily be the difference between a win and a loss, that they should be punished for it because “uh oh, serves you right for using that super” (the only one she can use) or “looks like you didnt perfectly engineer a combo that works on everybody” (in this case im certain there isnt one) “oh its because they are different weights” when theres basically no 2 characters with the same weight/hotboxes.

im pretty certain that none of the other characters can get punished for using a super in a happy birthday. you should get rewarded for playing well, not fucked over.

you should have been on the development team for sf 4 :frowning:

Not really. If she gets into a shootout and is low on health, she doesn’t have many good options to close the gap.

Most of her game is standing on the ground. Makes her really easy to get beefy damage on. Everyone else jumping around dashing in the air make it really hard to get hits that convert into something substantial.
