SJC Help!

I looked at wong do it and the other video that was posted and I just can’t figure it out. I look at my inputs and they seem correct but i’ll either get her dp or if the ultra does come out it doesn’t combo. I just can’t see how people are doing it without buffering… it baffles me and it’s all I tried to accomplish for the past few hours. So discouraging. I mean, I’m super rusty but I never had issues like this before in which I couldn’t perform something no matter what I did in SF4.

Does KKK have wonky timing or something?

This is weird, I’m doing exactly what this post says. I’m in training mode and I have the EXACT movements displayed on my screen yet I’m getting Ex Kazegiri 90% of the time. I’ll get the ultra to come out randomly, but I’m almost always getting Kazegiri. Anyone know how I can remedy this? Any help woudl be much apreciated…

If you are getting Ex Kazegirl then you are doing it too fast. Believe me, it’s not meant to be as fast as you think it is. Slow it down just a notch. What’s happening is you’re rushing to hit 3 Kicks and you’re not letting the motion reach its goal which is Up Forward or just Up.

Agreed. EX Kazegiri comes out when you hit 3P too soon. Delay hitting it a just fraction longer and you’ll start to get it more consistently.

when you are doing lk>mk>sjc>U2 the timing for the KKK seems to be the moment you see the yellow flash from the mk

the visual cue raised my completion rate immensely

Yep. When you press KKK too soon you cancel the MK into ultra which isn’t possible. Delay it slightly to cancel the super jump instead. I’m still trying to perfect it myself too.

As far as the :lp::mp::hp: TC is concerned, I’ve had my most success with :lp::mp::d::df::r::hp::d::df::r::uf::lk::mk::hk: (~80% consistency as of this post). To me, it’s a much more relaxed motion.

I haven’t really explored SJC-U2ing the :lk::mk: TC since I generally just hit confirm ultra off vortexes and the majority of my friends play large characters. Will probably mess around with it tomorrow.

Sigh. I did :lp::mp::hp: into ultra about 4 times in a row… thought “Oh, i get it now,” then haven’t been able to do it for about an hour.

I was really looking forward to Ibuki but I’m getting so frustrated I’m about to smash my arcade stick.

That shit keeps happening to me too. I’ll do it 3 times consecutively then fuck up for another hour.

lol me too same thing wit suoper

Heres a vid I made showing the timing of each. listen for the QCF’s and the button presses. this is how i do it at least, and has become pretty consistent.
Key is to let the MP hit 2x before you do QCF HP. I take my hand off the stick for a moment, then do qcf UP 3K

I wish I knew how to explain it better but i’m getting it almost every time…

If my camera was better i would make a much better video… just try the timing because it’s working for me.

As soon as you input s.HP (not when she hits it, when you actually press the button which is earlier), do the qcf’s ending in :uf: and hit :k::k::k: at the right time.
This is the non-buffering method. I think it helps with timing because you have to do the qcf’s and therefore usually never do it too early since you are forced to do the motion after the HP.

Ive had the most success the way tritan is doing it. Buffering it into the fierce just doesnt seem to be working for me.

if you aren’t waiting for 2 hits of MP, thus 4 hits prior to the ultra… then it doesn’t work. At least for me, i need those 2 hits to prep my rhythm

sigh i also thought i figured it out when i landed it like 5 out of 7 times then…BOOM…completely lost it. Both SJC Ultra and SJC Dash

Even though I was already making progress, the audio cues somehow tightened up my motion. Great vid.

Can someone please describe there method of the launcher into SJC HK dash? Can not get this reliable

With all of her target combos and stuff, Ibuki is the type of character that needs an arcade stick to be used properly.

That said, I’m going to see how far a pad can take me :3

I use a pad and im just starting to make the transition to a stick. I find it way easier to pull off her sjc ultra on a pad though…then again,i’ve been using a pad ever since i started playing sf games. So i guess its just a matter of what you feel more comfortable with.
