hopefully there will be another patch that will give him back some of his hp. not all 1.3 million, but at least 1 mil.

First off it’s great how every Sentinal player here is infinitely more knowledgeable about the game then Capcom is, secondly people who think Sentinal was balanced pre-nerf must be on some really good narcotics.

Just place pre-nerf Sent next to Hulk and Thor. Sent has more frames of armor, does more damage, has more health, attacks faster, has more options, and is safer when his hits have been blocked.

What is with all this “this is the death of the competitive fighting scene” baloney? Geezus crispy! Exaggerate much? And what is all this elitist crap about the golden era of fighters? Since when were fighting games some ancient and refined art requiring a delicate and devoted honing of skill accessible only to a select, chosen few? Do you have to go spend ten years secluded in the Himalayas, mastering your mind and your body, before you can pull off certain combos? Will developing a good throw/reset game bring peace to mankind? I don’t care how you spin it. I’ve been playing these games since SF1, and it’s still a goddamned GAME. If you don’t wanna play it because it’s not fun, cool. But just because it might be slightly more accessible to general audiences than previous games doesn’t somehow cheapen the moral and ethical value of the genre. There would have to BE a moral and ethical value to it before it could be lost.

Sentinel wasn’t nerfed, he was buffed.

Sentinel is an offensive juggernaut. That is his game. High hp was just a nice side benefit. Sentinel was scary in MVC3 because of how easily and quickly he can kill anyone. Now he can kill you even faster.

how is giving sent less hp a buff?

I play sent, and I tried a few matches today and it was the same old. The nerf doesn’t force us to alter how we play him when he’s in the game. All we need to do is just stop spamming assist because if he gets tagged he’s dead like half the characters in the game. No biggie. If anything it should make us Sent users smarter about when to and when not to call assist.

I like it because now normal to decent players are forced to learn the game instead of relying on x-factor lvl 3 sents every fucking single time.

Considering that fighting a good Sentinel can take too much time to beat, I do think a health nerf is good, but I think they went a bit too far.

He honestly needed a damage nerf or a nerf to his X-factor. Over 200% damage at lvl 3 is just way too much.

I hope this means I’ll be seeing him less online. Not that I couldn’t beat him or anything(I’ve managed to take down some Sentinels), but I’m just sick of seeing him every 9 out of 10 matches. I know damn well some of those people were only using him for his power.

I do feel sorry for the people who actually liked him and don’t spam “NEUTRALIZE!” every 5 seconds.

Every sent should just switch to hulk.Does around the same damage damage(has a minimim scaling coeficient of 03, not 0.1 like sentinel,but doesn’t have his HSF extensions), super armor kicks in faster(frame 3 for st.m and frame 6 for st.h, as opposed to sentinel’s which kicks in in frame 12),also gains 230% damage from xfactor level 3 like sentinel AND now has 300k more hp than sent.

Hulk has to still work for his wins. I need to wave dash and I realized that online random supers are very annoying to deal with hulk’s dashing, also no speed boost is with xfc makes me feel robbed… I guess thats what makes Hulk balanced.

Don’t give them any ideas… I’ll have to drop Banner if a bunch of sent bitches start using him.

You can hold Up Back to block the random supers while you dash, or you can TK Gamma Crush with QCB,UpBack 2 attacks to punish them.
I dunno, getting killed by sent’s ridiculousness didn’t feel that bad, and ESPECIALLY not as bad as getting mauled by dark pheonix ,who received no nerfs, and dormammu, who has buffed.( for me at least, some people hated fighting against sentinel, i didn’t , with any of my characters; i’m playing zero mags sent)
Judging by their twitter, which states “So, how many people need to switch up their teams now? ;)” i’m guessing they did this just to troll the players, and didn’t actually put any thought in the idea, because now, wolverine, magneto and lots of other characters can insta-gib sentinel at the start of a round with instant overhead into combo into dhc. Magneto for example can do j.m, j.m, j.h ~ bnb ,hyper grav xx magnetic tempest xx dhc glitch into anyone, bnb even without super meter and it will do 900k-1milion damage.Precisely because of that number (900k -1 milion damage that characters can do at the start of the round) I think they should’ve put sent at 1.050 (like spencer) so that he doesn’t die from a single instant overhead.
