Honestly, if you wanna beat Sentinel now matter how cheap he is, just practice your 100% Combos. I mean, Dormammu, Dante, and Storm should be able to easily create the best 100% Anyone’s ever seen. All you have to do is super jump your way past his defense, land an overhead with Dante, Shoot him up, Then Hit him with Dante’s Guitar. Cancel into Million Dollars, X-Factor Cancel, Then rape him with all three Hypers. Game’s over, Sentinel’s down.
The point of the game isn’t to fight on equal terms, the point of the game is to find easily usable strategies to beat everyone else’s strategy. Zoning is usually a good one, and my personal favorite method of dealing with Sent is X-Factor Cancelling into Ryu’s Shinku Hadoken, Deadpool’s Trigger-Happy, and Dante’s Devil Must Die.
Can anyone help me with the jump timing differences between these BnBs?
sL sM sS jM jM jH fly jL jH unfly jM dj jH jS
sL sM sS jM jM jH fly jL jM jM jH jS
For the first one you jump almost right after launch and start the jMs on the way up. However, this seems to make the second combo miss after fly jL. Anyone know if I should delay the jump or something? Sorry if this is too specific of a question lol
Okay, I need help. Can someone explain to me what I need to do to get H to connect after doing sent’s BnB ending with HSF? I have gotten it to land but not with consistency. What are the stipulations? Is it a 1FL? Thanks!
Everything in Marvel varies. The exact same juggle can be impossible or extremely easy based on how hard hit stun decay kicked in, and the height of the juggled character. In the case of HSF, it’s still height dependant.I don’t know exactly which scenario is better tough, if HSF does a lot of hits, or only a couple.Try and test it out by delaying the cancel into it, so that it gets more hits, and then cancel it immediately to get less hits, and see which case seems best suited for you.
thanks. I’ve tried that and couldn’t get it with any consistency. I think it might be a 1 frame link. Anywho, your answer from the guide:
crossover combination = pressing p1 and p2. requires one bar of hyper meter gauge for every partner participating. depending on how many characters remain, and how much hypr combo gauge is available. 1-3 chars come onscreen simultaneously to preform hyper combos together. the hyper combo each character executes is dictated by their crossover assist type.
Dammit sorry i was so stupid, i knew what a crossover combination is and how it is performed. I actually wanted to ask how to do a crossover counter, so that you can do the cancel into hard drive if you crossover counter with sentinel, like the video showed.
Is it a particular situation you are trying to apply that combo? If you try it after a throw mid screen, you’d better try dash LP rocket punch xx plasma storm. It’s more damaging than rocket punch xx hsf ~ laser most of the time, and is easier if you cant do the link to laser.
I was using this in casuals today and this is too good. Especially if characters try to chip through the air (like Ammy’s full screen super) it allows a launcher follow-up.
my team is currently zero/dante/pheonix, but once i became a 9th lord people started destroying my team because of their low health. I’m thinking about switching to sentinel. Is he easy to learn? What particular missions should I do? and is it a good team synergy if I replace zero with him…uhh it… or watever u wanna call the robot mutant killer?
Sentinel tends to like meter, phoenix tends to demand not using meter, and they both like having the XFC-lvl3, so I usually don’t see them on the same team. Considering you also seem to be having trouble with the low-life members of your team, have you considered dropping phoe for Sent?
I was using Deadpool,Sentinel,Phoenix on a team for a while. I thought it was pretty good, you have two anchor characters, Sentinel can do damage without using meter, and his assists work well with whatever style you like to go with Phoenix. Plus both of them are excellent Level 3 X Factor characters so if you lose either Sentinel or Phoenix, you can fall back the one character that is still left.
woverine(berserker barrage)/sentinel( force charge)/phoenix(tk overdrive)
wolverine is the battery of the team building meter very quick. phoenix overdrive assist helps wolverines rush down to open characters up and extends combos. plus its relatively safe if used correctly since it comes out fast. very similar to akumas tatsu assist. sentinel is the tank of the team that does a ton a damage as you all know.
meter is built very quickly with this set up where in a match you dont have to start saving meter right away, you can do a few hyper combos before you have start stocking up. (optional, u can start stocking right away but not necessary)
also since phoenix assist is used during wolverine’s rush down if the by chance she is killed off, the opponent has to deal with the terror that is level 3 xfactor sentinel instead of a level 3 xfactor dark phoenix.
when ive been playing this team i usually rarely need to go to level 3 xfactor with dark phoenix. by the time my wolverine is killed (if hes killed) i usually have 5 bars stocked and just xfactor level 2 dark phoenix ftw. with sentinel force charge assist to help lock down the opponent.
has any one else tried this team out. ive been very successful with it and have yet to lose a rank match playing it.
Your motion isn’t smooth enough. Go into training mode turn inputs on and see what the game is registering for your fly movement. You might have to try things like slowing your motion down at first to get it consistently then speeding it up.
everytime someone checks my player card in a lobby(and they have a mic)they gotta inform everyone how many times i’ve used sentinel and then calling me a newb/scrub/noob/something just as bad
