I tried Sentinel and i noticed he is just brajndead easy to use… Just let him be your 3rd char and save xfactor for him and is an instant win…
No matter how bad the situation is, he can win any scenario under those conditions…

It’s not Sentinel’s fault, XFactor has no business being in a fighting game that is meant to be played competitively. It’s a little worrying how Capcom games have been rewarding players for losing with SF4’s Ultra combo and now this XFactor garbage. They should have at least given it a negative side effect.

Man, I love the robot, and I wanted to play him even before he was confirmed for MVC3, but goddamn is he OP. I like playing him cause I think he is fun, but he gets his damage waaaaaaaaaaaay too easy.
I think they should take the super armour from his c.B, and make it so that frying pan grounds the opponent rather than bouncing them off the ground for a launch. Would make me feel alot less guilty about playing him hahaha.
Is it too early to call Sent imbalanced? Cuz I am really tempted to do so. Yes he’s not as good as he was in MVC2 but that’s like taking a queen out of chess and making her a rook in checkers.

Which moves of sentinels have super armor?
I can’t tell you how many games I have won with just Lvl 3 XFC Sent. It’s crazy. He can OCV entire teams.
I completely agree that Sentinel with lvl 3 X-Factor is incredibly powerful, but aren’t we jumping the gun a bit here? I think in a matter of time as this game matures, whole strategies will be worked on that negate his bullshit. As is now though, as far as he has even a pixel of health left and a lvl 3 XFC in waiting, he is quite clearly the biggest threat in the entire game.
Even if people figure out way to counter him, they would need to play damn near flawless. I’m not going to lie there has been games where I won thanks to random launch or frying pan into launch. 
Great strategies isn’t going to save you from 100% combos. It just helps prevent you from getting hit by the combos, but if you screw up, well you’re done.
Im starting to think that he will be banned from tournaments… Its just stupid how easy is to win against entire teams with just sentinel and xfactor…

Nah not happening. This community rarely ban characters.
The only two I can think of is 3S Gill and ST Akuma.
We have let a lot of broken characters slide in the pass.
3S- We didn’t fuck with Yun and Chun.
Tekken 4 - We didn’t fuck with Jin.
Tekken 5 - We didn’t fuck with Steve.
MVC2 - We didn’t fuck with the big four.
ST - We didn’t ban anyone, but ST akuma. We let all the CE bull shit stay.
Chances of Sent being ban is .0000001%.
The only community whiny enough to ban characters is the Soul Calibur one. :lol:

Sent just has everything, arguably the best assist in the game and is the best 3rd character that easily ocvs with lvl 3 xfactor.
you can take everyteam and just swap in sent as 3rd and make it automatically stronger.
so what if justin can beat him, if justin picked sent he would also have beat him but with one hand.
Sent is broken, deal with it.
just look at justin vs floe, justin wipes the floor with floes first to characters, going almost perfect.
sent comes out, gets one hit, kills wolverine, gets a second hit kills 3rd character plus almost the second if he wasn’t such a scrub and used HSF first and then another super.
That’s a different case…
You know what gives me jokes when I said sent was gonna be a problem 2 weeks before the game actually released people were like no he’s not blah di blah without actually playing the game…
Sent is a fucking issue and I said it before any of you not that I trying to claim a award or anything but with his awesome assists which aid rushdown and keep away characters and the ability to destroy your team when your last anyways makes him godlike…
People saying he can be dealt with need to realise that if you make one mistake… Just one you will die…

To people who refuse to use him and complain about him being cheap SMD… Your the same people who wanted makoto and Tony hawk in ssf4 and probably used them twice before coming to the forums and complaining about them not being top and the problems they have…

P.S Sentinel is also good friends with Dante and they go out on friday nights to pick up drunk chicks at bars to sleep with them thats why there always seen together
Sentinel is just a really good character who has a lot of tools but he’s over exposed and the good players are finding ways to counter Sentinel tactics. The character has weaknesses and can be beaten but it’s just he can afford to make several mistakes and then make a come back with an easy hit. It’s honestly no different then Vanilla Sagat in SF4. I don’t think anyone at the time said he needed to be banned from tourney play it was just apparent that he had advantages over the majority of the cast. The same goes with Sentinel but I think there’s more opportunity to open the game and have non-Sent teams win.
That being said I’m still using the Robot because he’s legitimately fun to play and has synergy with the current team I have.
So from my experience so far the only teams worth having must contain a Sentinel and atleast one character who can counter Sentinel. Otherwise you’re just limiting yourself imo. Anyone else already got an idea of how tournament play is going to look?
