Is it known that Sent CAN connect a rocket punch off of Hard Drive? It’s stupid hard for me to do though. ._.

Easiest way? Dunno, doesn’t seem to be an easy way. Do Hard Drive late after rocket punch (after a fly combo ofc) and get them at the tip of the pyramid.

hes not OP at all, hes just has touch of death potential. you know, like iron man, magneto, war machine, cable, storm, and sentinel himself did in mvc2?

I dunno man. Sent has reach, priority, high damage, super armor frames on certain moves, the highest life in the game, flight, projectiles, incredibly useful assists, OTG’s that are both easy and safe, a fast as hell wavedash which negates much of his speed disadvantage, all three of his super moves are useful and have huge range, an extremely effective command throw with a lot of applications, and all of this is multiplied even more so by X Factor if it’s saved up. So far the only weakness he seems to have is his size sorta.

I’m not having a temper tantrum over it or something like some people are, and he’s not unkillable or anything but so far everything I’ve seen from well known internet streams to personal experience is showing me that he isn’t exactly on equal terms with the rest of the cast. Whatever weaknesses he was meant to have seems to have been sidestepped in one way or another.

anyone else having problems wave dashing with sent

when i wave dash i soemtimes get the mouthbeam and when i backwards wave dash i end up getting hyper sentinel force

what can i do? i never had these problems in mvc2 , p.s. i use a pad (for both)

If you think Wesker is bad, Zero is a nightmare. With a good assist (for example Air Raid) Zero can mix Sent up for days. His multi-hitting normals laugh in the face of hyper armour and he gets upwards of 400K damage on one BnB… more if there’s a good DHC available or OTG assist.

After getting blown up by several good Sents down here I had to lab that shit and now I’m much more comfortable fighting him until he gets level 3 XF. Then it’s safest to block or get your own Sent out lol.

I have been wavedashing with A+B so that if I mess up I get the s.B or c.B instead of mouth beam. I also use the bottom right corner of the stick to cancel my dashes for wave dash. This makes it a ton easier for me.

This, Im running haggar/Sentinel/??? (wolverine at present but I havent found the perfect fit I am looking for yet), and frankly the two complement each other really well, Haggar by some bizzare twist of fate frequently seems to do more damage if he DOESNT burn bar.so the trick might be to find other characters for whom meter gulping is largely optional so that you can give more of it to sentinel.

thanks man, i forgot about d/f, i was thinking about changing the macro to just a+B instead of abc but i didnt realize it also affected the move that comes out, so i will definitly do that.

man, just the hsf messin me up now. i was so used to magneto just air dashing like a mad man. The back dash never could go into a super or any of his speical moves considerign u needed two kicks to or 2 punches etc. they could have at least made the supers in this game dependant on specific two button presses, i wonder if easy mode could solve, this or if it does nothing

Testing some shizz while running Sent/Morg/Trish.

Morg A assist leads to some hyper setups.

Morg A, :uf:, j.:s:, land, Rocket Punch-:l: xx hyper

Tested it with Plasma storm for around 440 damage and KFC to another Plasma Storm for around 645k damage.

Still haven’t tested to see how much using HSF to relaunch will do.

Seems to work as long as your opponent is about 1 to 2 characters away from you.

EDIT 2:
For some less costly setups:
DHCg Plasma Storm into Morg’s Finishing Shower nets 554,000 damage.

DHCg Plasma Storm into Morg’s Shadow Servant nets 516,000 damage.

Tried it also with Ryu A, and the range is smaller than with Morg (your opponent needs to be more or less on top of you) and the timing on the j.:s: seems stricter.

That said, DHCg Plasma Storm into Shinku Hadouken (upwards) nets 701-717,000 damage.

EDIT 3:
Works with Joe and Dante’s AA assists as well. Timing is slightly different though.

Without a doubt. I still have work to do with Zero. Wesker has been working for me for the time being, but I have a feeling that may not last long.

Do you have to go to neutral then hit a direction to do fast fly combos in this game or can you just hit the normal directly after fly?

yea you don’t need to go neutral at all… Sent is EASY mode
