Many people have this hang-up in that if a character isn’t in the top five, they obviously suck for “real competitive play”. As though every player is at an equal skill level anyway or something.

But I guess we really can’t blame people for thinking that way, considering MvC2 and it’s “awesome” relative balance.
I thought in SRK every character is upper-mid.
No that’s when it’s their favorite character but they know the character is way too strong/weak.
I always tell people to gauge MvC2 tiers in terms of teams rather than individually.
That’s the correct way anyhow.
Its not about whether or not Sentinel gets nerfed. Its more about whether or not he will be as fun to play. If he still has the same sick unfly combos, zoning tools, lock down, rush down that he did before, then its all good.
