The fact that it was won by a last second hit before time out is almost half the reason the match is so good.

The VDO match was unbelievable, but I honestly have a problem with anything with infinite loops in it to be honest.
I mean…I understand the tier thing, I understand VDO was playing out of his mind awesome, I understand the comeback…just don’t feel great about it. But I’m not really an MVC person so maybe that’s just me. If it wins, that’s cool. Definitely the most Hype fight of the bunch, I’ll give it that.
The Valle-Sabre fight? Interesting and with an electric crowd behind it, but just a bit too one sided for me. EXCELLENT use of a corner-reset, but that’s really all it was… it felt more like a combo vid to me. But hell, to play on that level with that kind of pressure against one of the greats…Kudos to Sabre.
My vote’s for the TVC fight to be honest. Gian was dealing with broken-Karas and was getting destroyed, then came back and one-man army’d his way through both characters. Near full health. THAT’S incredible.
It didn’t have the hype of the other matches because there was no crowd noise, but the TVC fight seemed to be one of the most technical of the bunch, so it gets my vote.

Guile vs E.Honda made me salute cause I know from personal experience as guile fighting honda is literally the most aggravating fighting I can think of.
The MvC2 match blew my mind it was first of all amazing to win with that team but what got me pumped was at the end when time was almost up, ohhh god. Voted on this one
Ryu vs Sakura was probably the second best, I mean damn.

This isn’t a hate on MvC2 thread, so I’ll just say ugh.
I voted for the Valle SaBre match because that shit was straight out of the matrix, to paraphrase Dogface. The VDO Potter match was pretty amazing to someone like me who played MvC2 for years, and knows the tier list is like the ten commandmants, but you can’t put lipstick on a pig and expect it to win a beauty contest. SF4 haters are just people too afraid of change, and too lazy to learn a game that has more than 6 usable characters.
I was actually there. And what happened was VDO stood up and got really hyped after the win going straight to the crowd. And he spent a good amount of time celebrating with the crowd (as he should, it was a very emotional win). VDO is a great guy and I’m sure he meant no disrespect to Potter. For all I know, he probably wanted to give Potter a handshake after, but Potts isn’t exactly obligated to sit there and wait forever.
Wow, reading the comments of the past few pages made me think that the VDO match was a sure thing. Oh well. Not a big deal.

i honestly thought VDO was going to win due to all the hype he had in here. and i personally thought it was very deserving. VDO been doing crazy upsets in marvel for years. i could probably find a match from him, every year to be considered for match of the year.
