Yeah that SFIV match was pretty sad IMO. I mean SFIV is SFIV…but I could have put up at least 5 matches that were better for match of the year. All that match showed was that Guile is not the worst character in the game. :lol:
VDO’s match for free. None of the other vids come close. TVC was alright but dayum…VDO’s vid even made that look like child’s play.
im gonna have to go with the 3s match, not because of my partiality to 3s but i felt that that match was the least “gimmicky” of all the matches if that makes sense to anybody else
the other matches were a display of amazing comebacks, overcoming tier lists and amazing skill (i have no idea what the guile and honda game is doing in the running, is seeing a draw game really worth it to watch that snorefest?) but i just felt that the 3s video had more of a “wow” factor in being consistent all the way through if that makes sense to anybody else here

VDO won that shit on the skin of his teeth. He was lucky MVC2 still counts 00 on the clock as like 2 seconds or otherwise he would have been done and out. Shit was magic.

My vote is for the VDO match. Brings back those marvel moments.
I watched all of them, and I must say that VDO vs Potter was quite a thrill ride. Low Tier vs God Tier match-up, then the Ken infinite, followed by Potter trying to run the clock, and the literal last second win by VDO. Out of all of the possible choices, this was the one that delivered the best results, and it wins my vote for Match of the Year.
The TvC match gets runner-up. It was just so epic to hear game start playing Ryu’s theme as he gets tagged into the match, and to have GIAN come back with a sliver of health left and take out both of Kubo’s characters was indeed awesome. This makes me more interested in buying a Wii

ANYONE who has played VDO knows he will shake your hand in a quick second after a good match. Even if you play him and stand in his immediate area, he would have stopped his hype to shake your hand and even give a guy hug. Don't act like he shunned you, ok? In almost all cases pertaining to MvC2, this match up should not even be near this close, nor this difficult for the Big-4 period. The fact that the tier gap between these characters are just so astronomical makes it all the more ridiculous.
For Colossus to get the win and deal enough damage with only 1 second remaining to win in overtime pretty much sealed the deal for me. I really liked the TvC match up, however I did not find it as exciting or as intense because Gian’s Ryu basically destroyed Kubo’s Ryu with only 9-hits. Although a fun match up to watch, it was to me not on the same level as VDO’s, for him to win with Ken/Rogue/Colossus up against a great MvC2 player, that’s like equivelant to a Euro-Football potential team coming to the NFL and beating one of our best teams.
Landslide imo to the VDO match up who wins my vote.
All of these matches were great examples of the games they represent but I’ve gotta show love to the VDO match. I jumped out of my seat when he got that launch literally at the buzzer. SabrE/Valle is my runner up, that Sak made him humble like the Iron Shiek.
What? Saying it would have been more impressive if VDO won straight out (like he did the first match) is now considered trolling? It was a good match, but match of the year decided by time out? no thanks
