i dont mind either way why ppl vote over what. honestly, i think vdo’s shit is the sickest. but to me, he’s been upsetting top players in marvel with his wacky teams since 2000, so it’s really no suprise that he beat potter a set. taking life at 00 seconds on the other hand, is wild.
my main gripe really is people complaining about the finalists and giving keits flak, yet its all from people that didnt even post in the nominations comments section. It would be tight, if the community as a whole vote for what they like. especially since some people may have seen some hidden gems that everyone else coulda missed that is worthy.
this is all fun, lets remember that! and it’s also a test run for better stuff in the future. gotta start somewhere
how is it match of the year when one match is 9 rounds long? dont get me wrong, it was a great matchup, not many would disagree. but the mindset is completely different when you get that many rounds in a single match and the match plays out totally different. so it makes sense why it was not allowed in the poll.
Not like it matters now but I was using a stick where analog went off randomly. Of course it went off as I launched him with 2 seconds left and I had to manually press it but it didn’t block. Either way, good stuff to vdo he caught me with a gb i’ve never seen before. Would of expected a handshake after losing, but maybe its a wc thing.
It has to go to Alex Valle getting destroyed, i mean that just made Sakura look like she belongs in the top tier and not bottom tier after watching that. i couldnt believe it. I normally wouldnt vote for MOTY if it was an ass whipping, but the person did it to one of the best Street Fighter players of ALL time, and to top that off, Alex has been playing Pro since SFII came out i think too cause he dif was around the mid 90’s in the pro circuit. Thats what makes this ass whipping even more shocking.
to new gamers to the scene, no one knows whos who or who did what outside of Jwong, Valle, Choi,… in other words, if you never placed top 5, no one knows you
Regardless of whether or not the SabreValle match was better than the VDO match or not, what you’ve posted was pretty rude, dismissive and ignorant with regards to Sabre. people who care enough to watch sf match videos or attend evo know who heis. It didn’t put him on the map at all and nobody was unsure of his name before or after.
sak isn’t a free mixup train on ryu at all, she isn’t 3s yun so no, ryu wouldn’t normally have to guess continually like he did there. If putting valle from a neutral position and right into a mixup wasn’t what blew your socks off and instead you concentrate on the mixup itself you’re missing the best bit of the match.
VDO match is my vote but I don’t get his team, is it literally just 3 characters he’s good with? What does Rouge give to the team since I don’t see him using her assist at all?
i continue to vote for msy vs. kaqn. sorry it’s 3 of 5. here in nagoya and probably the rest of japan all games (sf4, tekken6, bb, etc.) are on 3 of 5. bummer it doesn’t fit your format.
. get more stoked that rachel is a seriously original character and won’t be heard from after 2009.
