“Hashino has moved on from Persona, handing off development of the series to successors within Atlus. Instead, he’ll direct Studio Zero’s first project, a new fantasy RPG codenamed Project Re Fantasy with a team of Persona veterans including his longtime collaborators, artist Shigenori Soejima and composer Shoji Meguro.”
These 3 people are the one true dreamteam so i will def follow them whatever they choose 2 do.
Also this is the logo of their new studio… “the fool’s journey”
Question: I’m thinking about getting a Vita on the cheap and playing P3 and P4 Golden since I’m enjoying P5 so much. However, I’ve come across YouTube videos that say P5 brings together all of the strengths of previous titles and leaves behind things they took a misstep on. So my question is would I be disappointed w/ 3 or 4 since I played 5 first?
You’ll likely be disappointed with the UI of the battle system as it’s not steamlined like P5. There’s no demon negotiation for capturing persona. In P3 and P4 you get them randomly in a after battle mini-game.
Ultimately, i think i like p4 more than 5, but both are very strong in their own ways. I liked the overall story in 4 more, as well as the bigger focus on just regular life stuff.
My biggest issue with Haru and her Confidant was how the game kept trying to make me feel like I was obligated to waifu her, which annoyed me. It’s like sorry, you’re not at Makoto or Hifumi level. Hell, she’s worst party member waifu, and I’d probably only waifu her over Kawakame or Ohya, because nobody waifus Ohya.
I was gonna go with Makoto, but ended up playing doctor with Takemi instead. Then on my second playthrough because I maxed Makoto as a friend on the first go around, I felt like there wasn’t much else to see, so on NG+ I’ve gone with Ann just to keep the game a little more fresh and different.
I thought Haru was better than Makoto. I thought Makoto was bland as a character and her confidant plot gave me nothing to sink my teeth into. It as boring as the character itself. Haru could have benefited from an earlier introduction. She should have been a recurring character around the time of the firework festival.
I always thought they set Makoto up to be the lead waifu in the game. The basic opposites pairing of the spotless honor student together with the “dangerous” delinquent. The two just seemed to click very well. What got me was everyone else, when you basically reject them it’s always “yeah, because we’re good friends!” and smiles. With Haru, she seemed genuinely hurt and you leave her like that.
