I max’d out 11 social links. Been going harm on fusing Personas above my level after getting the twins to max. Though their story had a anti-climactic end. My persona compendium is half full. I’m trying to get the personas I can fuse for maxing out a link and it’s going to take a lot of work.
I have just enough resources to kill the final boss, but i can’t use anything unwisely so oh boy this is going to be fun.
sad part is at the very beginning i accidentally used Mediarahn instead diarahn when i forgot i switched out an injured party member. I immediately thought “i sure hope that doesn’t come back to bite me in the ass later on”
then wouldn’t you know it got to the end with Joker and Morgana left alive and all i could do was use his regular attack. If i had enough for just one more garudyne i probably could have beat him.
On another note, I can finally say I’m enjoying this game. The only parts that are a bit unbearable are the days where they’re setting up the next Palace and I can’t do anything b/c Morgana keeps sending me to bed. Other than those parts (which take anywhere from 15mins to an hour), I’m really having fun.
They’re not that expensive once you get Rank 7 with Takemi, and they’re worth it IMO. I had so much excess money by the end of the game that I didn’t know what to do with it. SP Adhesive 3’s also made the last boss very easy; I killed it on my first attempt, with no real “ohshitohshitohshit” moments. I can’t say the same about the first optional boss in P4G (Contrarian King). Is it weird for me to say “Fuck ‘Rampage’”? I guess I have to grind out a few levels before dropping him.
Anyway: in P5 I found that the fortune teller’s money bonus (spend 5k to earn extra money in Mementos/Palaces for the day), paired with Hifumi’s rank 7 bonus, and Shinya’s Down Shot (for those pesky mobs without weaknesses), pretty much makes money irrelevant.
If you don’t go that route, I suppose you could have the puffy-haired rich girl grow you some dank greens on the rooftop, and Sojiro’s max rank coffee/curry is pretty great too. Especially when you make Kawakami come over and prepare it for you while you’re busy dating someone else with school work.
while i do think id be able to beat the boss without all that, it would be by the skin of my teeth.
I do have a save right before i fought Shido so im going to use that to prepare better. It will require me to do the last dungeon all over, but since i already know what to do its not going to be as difficult as it was before.
On my first playthrough, I had maxed out a lot of confidants but fucking Ryuji fucked me up. I kept going to the temple and seeing the fortune teller to pump points into him BUT THAT FUCKER NEVER SHOWED UP AT THE ARCADES!!!. Looking back I could have maxed out Tower kid, Yusuke and most likely a third.
Same thing with Mishima, I had him on lvl 9 for the longest and according to the Fortune teller, I was close to lvl 10, but he kept saying he was busy with the Phan-site. He didn’t hit me up until the veryyyy end of the game, and I was able to achieve max level with him.
Mishima moves around. I usually check the overview map to see which links are active for the day and if they will rank up. You’ll find him at akihabara when he stops appearing at the red light district.
Naw, I checked at Akihabara everyday but he kept saying he was busy. He hit me up later on before I ended the game, but not too long before so it’s all good.
