Well krispy kremes hitstun doesn’t allow for a flight combo or a relaunch cause they’ll flip out…also in terms of fly/relaunch/swag combos do them after a corner throw or a TAC. Great way to get the salt flowin.

Btw if your having trouble connecting the M after the fly mashing it… Took me about a week and now I can do it like 80% on a good day 50% on a bad one without mashing. Mashing supprisingly helped me learn the timing because if you press M too early you’ll come out with repulsar blast and if you press it too late the air M will whiff.Just keep on trying and remember everyone was (is) in your position.

With that does anyone have some sick THC combos? On Jokers vid I think he did something like this off of a down THC
l. l smart bombs. l. Dh. fly. m. h. l smart bombs. l. h. s.
Seems cool but also seems like all of the lights would ruin HSD… does anyone have notation or video of a better one?

How much damage does your relaunch do? Or are you just worried because it’s hard to drop?

The hard part of the combo, for me at least, seems to be getting the air series after the Unfly H. j.M never seems to connect.

The Krispy is a just a harder combo and gets you like 715k? If I do the relaunch, which is easier, I’m getting around 750-760k depending on what I hit confirmed with. Add an assist in the corner and you get get 800k.

With Krispy and 2 assists I hit 930k, builds 2 meters and uses 1. If I use 2 bars, its up around 1.1. Im pretty happy with that for an almost universal combo. But the smart bomb relaunch is easy and good in punishment situations when you don’t have to worry about the hit conversion range, sure. Does like 40k more maybe depending on starter.

Just hard for me to determine if I’m close enough to confirm with launcher is all. Personally I prefer always using the Krispy combo because a whiffed S could literally mean dead for my IM.

Also if anyone was wondering I play 90% online and Krispy Kreme is VERY possible as long as your willing to practice. Most complicated combo I’ve ever learned and I am grateful because it works under so many circumstances and helped me learn the timing for IM’s air throw Krispy Kreme combo, and more recently, his fly/unfly pressure

Could you provide any sort of notation for the combo?

j.:s:,c.:m:,s.:h:,:s:,sj.:h:, j.:d::h:,j.:s:, land, l.smartbomb, c.:m:,s.:h:,:s:, sj.:m:, j.:m:, j.:h:,j.:d::h:, land , m.smartbomb xx proton cannon

Hardest part of the combo is the relauch l.smartbomb. If done outside of the the corner you may need to dash up to hit the smartbomb relaunch.

I use m.smartbomb xx proton cannon just to be safe because for some reason h.smartbombs allows some chars to pop out.

Again make sure to be done at close range or the launcher will whiff.

That combo is harder than it sounds. I had a hard time figuring the :l: smart bomb into 2m>5h and then :h: smart bomb>proton cannon since hit stun is pretty much gone once you do :h: smart bomb.

Good combo though, does solid damage, but the hit stun deterioration throughout the combo makes it impossible to expand on it without the use of assists I believe.

Thank you sir.

Wait so is that Krispy Kreme combo the only reliable combo for iron man and does the midscren one or the one modified for ultimate not work in the corner?
I hate this characte. hes taunting me with his insanely good beam but really hard combos. lol

It works everywhere and is his most reliable combo. If you have an eye for spacing you can go for stronger combos.

Well for me, I haven’t mastered the Krispy Kreme yet. But once I did, I was just going to try to add some type of flight combo in the air after I launched. But I really should have figured out by now that the hitstun that combo causes would probably take away any real chance of doing a flight combo in the air, because if not, people would have been putting out videos where they start off with the Krispy Kreme then do some type of flight combo in the air for huge damage. I’m kind of trying to experiment at the moment and see if I can find some type of flight combo that gets me in the area of damage that the Krispy Kreme causes. Not to say that I’m not going to try to master the Krispy combo, because it has a lot of range and good damage anyway. I just need to spend more time in the lab and see what does and doesn’t work.

Just my corner BnB. Does 730k-780k
Depending on the opener, mashing, and the repulsar blast hits.

Your link doesn’t work

That is like the only mildly difficult part. And I say that mildly to be nice really, because I have missed it 0 times without practicing it ever. I’m sure that link gets harder after long combos, but here its pretty easy.

You can probably do something like launcher, 2H, Add, 2H, jump MMH2HS, L bomb relaunch for more damage, but I doubt its THAT much more damage. And quite frankly, I just can’t convince myself to put any time into learning more difficult iron man combos.

I realized the main reason I was having a hard time wth that combo was because I was practising it on taskmaster. I don’t know why his hitbox is so small. I was bale to the ocmbo on everyone else with relative ease, including smaller characters like Logan.

Taskmaster’s hitbox is unusually small lying down and in the air. It’s quite annoying, coupled with his high health.

Anyways, just had my first online session in umvc3, total 60 matches. Tony is a lot harder than he looks, his mid screen game as a whole feels sorta ass right now. But his corner game is really strong in compensation. Tridashing into grab is legit too, but once again you can’t follow it up mid screen. Opening people up is another issue, but he can zone a lot better now I find. I feel like he’s signficantely harder than most characters to learn. I’m not entirely sure I can run him as an anchor still. But I still need about at least another full week before I get comfortable with him. AD double overhead isn’t as it seems either :frowning:

YES!!! Taskmaster is very wierd. I noticed that today as well. Plus I’ve had problems doing combos on Taskmaster with one of my other characters. Its just him. Relaunches generally work on most of the cast.

In my city there aren’t very many taskmasters, but I suppose if you can consistently land your combos on him you can pretty much land it on 95% of the cast. Since apparently his aerial hitbox is just about if not smaller than logan’s.
I won’t be practising combos on him anymore personally until I have my combos down packed in terms of execution…

Taskmaster is an extreme version, but the combo still works with some slight timing tweaks. Wesker is a slightly less extreme version, though he still takes timing adjustments compared to most.

That’s a pretty good practice progression. Get it down on Doctor Doom, then on Logan, then on Wesker, then on Taskmaster.
