So cool thing that I realized in the lab last night. Against SJ spam characters, I can jump > IADU + Log > UB M > land > dash and still convert at just inside of full screen, lol. This made me realize that I’m not abusing what Log gives me to my fullest, though…

On the topic of weed mt. dew doritos combos…Log gives me a lot of situations where I don’t have to worry about max range confirms and all that goodness since I’m almost always in range to go straight into dash > s.HS > etc after the wall bounce.

Anyone know if there are any options that are worth exploring outside of KK-esque variants since conversion range isn’t an issue for a change?

As far as what I’m going for now with KK-esque followups to log.

Off raw log, this works: Log > Dash > s.H cr.HxxFly, f.HxxUnfly, j.H, land, j.MMdHS, land, cr.MS etc.
This does 750k+ depending on if you’re in the corner for the little ADU extension and want to burn the meter.

It’s possible to do this same combo off UB M + Log but scaling brings it down to ~500k after the meter (and the c.MS seems to be a really tight link and height specific so I don’t feel consistent against smaller characters. It may vary based on whether they’re grounded or not, as well) IIRC, it doesn’t work off c.HxxUB L/M+Log or RB+log conversions at all. More often than not, if I get a UB/RB+Log confirm, I feel like s.HS is the safest option and I would like to do something better than sj.MMHdHS for the launch portion on those situations.

Since I have a unique opportunity to use some of the other combo options in a reliable fashion I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand or knew of interesting options. My main interest is building meter more than damage but if there’s some combo that can branch into a great reset point, I wouldn’t hate that either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Usually just wait a bit and rush the inputs in the corner. On a lot of the double RB followups you get put in a nice spot spacing wise and I’ll trade reliablility for 40~50k any day of the week.

What are you talking about dude, H Smart Bombs xx Iron Avenger is the ender you use to combo into level 3 regardless of what bnb you are using.

Backdashing vs not backdashing to land this ender also has nothing to do with why your unique snowflake bnb is worse than the KK. Also I do use other combos sometimes. Sometimes when I land crossup ADDF j.S I fuck up the flight since it crosses up so well and I get c.M, s.H, S, which all connects, so at that point I do the relaunch combo since I can’t do the KK (relaunch combo does less damage than KK). But 99% of the time I do the KK and you should too.
Closed mindedness will be the death of any fighting game player or fighting game. If people prefer one combo over another, who gives a rat’s ass…let them live. Just felt like sharing that but anyway…Are you all aware of the fact that Iron Man can do Nova’s h fly h unfly loop in the corner? Just curious. I’m actually a regular in the Nova threads but I’m picking up Iron Man for shits and giggles to give Nova a good assist. But yeah…you can do something like c.M s.HS (super jump) H fly d.H unfly H land H xx repulsor. Kind of pointless considering you can do the MH d.H dash etc. loop but yeah.

Well, he kinda has way better combos than that in the corner, but it’s an option if you’re just trolling ;).

=(( I wish I could find some godlike Iron Man combos but it seems like they’re all hidden in a blackhole or something lolll…I have your air to air conversion video saved in my favorites on youtube though.

Yo Duck Strong what to do to make this shit less of a pain in the ass? I could backdash before I do Smart Bombs but I’ll owe DapVip a Coke and I don’t want that.

Oh yeah and air to air combos is where you have the most room for improvisation with this character. Let your imagination soar (get it cause air to air conversion HEH).

Iron Man combo, Nova style B)…Does ~971k with 1 meter, and ~1,171,000 with the DHC

Not sure if I’m posting this in the right place, but I figured I’d share this with you guys.

Does anyone else get tired of seeing IM’s taunt in combo vids?

I had to stop after the 7th taunt…

thank you for this!

…it’s not that serious…

Lol, it’s a pet peeve. I’m pretty sure IM’s the biggest offender when it comes to that. That man will flex for anything and everything.

LOL, yeah… I probably should’ve cut out the other taunts. xD

I always taunt when I win with Iron Man most time my Iron man don’t get to come out any way dorm already cleared the field

on a scale of 1-10, 10 being Desk level, how difficult is IM’s TAC infinite? Also, where can I find the notations for it?

Corner 2~3? Midscreen 3~4? Notations for the older ones are in the House of Ribs Thread.

What are the notations for the optimal damage combo for Iron Man? Also how much damage does it do? I know how to do the krispy kreme and different variations of it but I don’t know much else except for the corner tac infinite.

I just watched a video that had the inputs on in training mode and paused it after each hit. It really isn’t that hard as far as infinites go. I think the hardest part is the smart bombs. But the jump loop is super easy.
Idk if this will help you but this is how I learned http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cj4AtK5un7A

EDIT: Okay I seem to be having an issue. Since I am still pretty new to the infinite I guess I lack consistency. I was getting it at 90% of the time yesterday. Now they flip out immediately after the smart bombs L before I can do the air h>fly>air m>s. any ideas why they keep popping out immediately?

For Shinquickman’s Krispy Kream combo how do you land the xx unfly > j.H?

It’s either Iron Man drops too fast or he does a j.S instead.

unfly glitch

From what I understand, the unfly glitch is pressing S and the corresponding attack button so that the character instantly unflies and does the normal attack?

I’ll give it a try, thanks.
