Ah… how do you get 1.1m with 2 assists? o__ o
Would like to learn how to do that…

[Edit]: It would help to know how rather than to know that you can do it. without knowing how.

Where’s the fun in that? It’s much more rewarding to discover things on your own

True dat.

Hey guys. Coming back from a long break from marvel. Curious if IM’s practical BnB is still just the KK stuff. Anything else / new that is worthwhile? Im talking about solo non xfac stuff of course.

Also, what exactly are yall using for corner combos and also what should I be doing to convert from throws (grounded and air )

I would really appreciate the feedback. Thanks everyone!

KK is still #1 for BnBs, but corner combos seem to be team specific for everyone now, lol. The only go-to throw combo I’ve seen has been Duck Strong’s corner throw combo where you jab before they hit the ground and get into a jump loop. Should be on the front page of the new combo thread.
Tony cant combo after an airthrow? I thought he could do this solo ?

Yes he can. After a low altitude air throw, drop down, do L Smart Bomb OTG, dash, c.M, s.H, S air series. If its an air throw from high height, ADDF and do the same thing. Iron Man’s ground dash is shit but L Smart Bombs have enough hitstun for you to dash and do c.M, s.H, S as long as you can hit their body with it.

There’s also a proper air throw, air L Smart Bombs OTG combo you can do (its Iron Man’s last trial in mission mode, except you want to use j.uH instead of j.H to make it easier), but I’m not a fan of it at all because its height specific and if you air throw someone with Iron Man you really need to hurt them because he doesn’t land hits that often. I’m not sure if you can do a million off 4 bars after an air throw but I know you get more than 850k.
But KK is what you want to go to if you’re just picking him up. As far as BNBs go, once you’re comfortable with him there are other combos out there. BNB are combos that each individual player goes to or relies on the most. My example would be RayRay and Champ. While both play Magneto, RayRay’s BNBs wouldn’t be considered BNB (by ordinary standards) because they require alot more execution than Magneto’s other combos. But it’s because RayRay is so comfortable and familiar with Magneto that even execution heavy combos are his BNBs. Marlinpie/Clockwork with Doom and Chris G with Morrigan are the same thing. I would recommend watching Danke’s tech vids and DAPVIP tournament matches. I hope to see DAPVIP at either Winter Brawl or FinalRound.

Krispy Kreme is the only Iron Man bnb worth using for countless reasons. There is room for variation in your air to air and corner combos.
Yeah, there’s no reason to no go into the KK outside of the corner for regular BnBs. At least not unless you manage to find something else that converts from IM’s full range with the consistency that KK does and does more damage.

Even in the corner, you’re usually just exchanging KK for swag stuff that rarely does more damage.
BNB depend on the player and not the character. Like I mentioned before, it clearly depends on your level of execution. While I do recommend KK for entry level, I don’t use it because there is more damage in other combos. It all about personal preference. Some people will defend KK until they die and that’s fine. But it’s not for everyone, at least not for me.

Most of my hits come spacing + log so I don’t use the KK all that much, though I have a KK-esque followup to raw log hits. It’s all good and well to say ‘only use KK if you don’t have execution’…but show me a better combo to use at far cr.L/M range and I’ll start using that.

Honestly, I feel like you’ve screwed up as an IM player if you get a hit at closer than that range anyways. He’s a ranged poke character, not a rushdown.
Jesus christ this shit again? If you aren’t using KK you are an idiot. Do I really need to explain why its important for a footsies character to be able to confirm as far away as possible off his normals.

The extra 20 or 30k you are getting off your c.M, S weed mountain dew doritos combo isn’t worth it when you are sacrificing range.
Holy shit, I’m totally learning that c.M s.S week mountain dew doritos combo… and you guys say IM sucks.
Hey guys, new to the forum. Just wanna share this with you.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjFRznP_vog&feature=youtube_gdata_player
It’s a variant from a combo I saw in joker’s channel.

Sick IM combo bro. :P

http://youtu.be/syWodyDIPuI

Assuming that’s the one you meant to post. :D

I saw your X23 CS combo no the other forum, do you run X23/Chun/IM?
Not anymore. It was very difficult for me then to deal with zoners, and the three of them are not that easy to handle. For now my team is composed of chun/iron man and the overused doom. But later I plan building a team around her.

I use molecular shield with doom to help iron man to get in and to lock people in the corner. What others assist could fulfil this aspects besides drones?

I run X23/IM/RR(Log). I imagine Chun could be swapped out for IM pretty easily. I run RB on IM because of X23 synergy reasons but with chun on point I would run UB (would be really strong for RR, too.)

It’s a little wierd at first since you don’t play IM rush with log but it’s a pretty strong zoning/spacing pair. It counterzones really well as long as IM + Log is able to put out more durability and match their attack angles (crH+Log > UB puts out a ton a durability and beats out a lot of ground options). Beats out V.Joe, Doom, Strange pretty solidly, but not great against super zoning pairs like Hawkeye + Task or Morridoom. Regular morridoom isn’t a problem, but once she gets AV’d, you can’t stuff missiles well enough since you have to focus on RB too much. (X23 + Log covers that matchup pretty well, though, since you can bulldog her to keep her from getting started, though and I imagine Chun + Log would do about as well.) The main idea is to use log to convert from stray spacing hits (UB and RB will both convert into full combos from inside logs range) so you focus more on keeping them out rather than opening them up. It does good chip and you almost always have a ton of meter on hand from it.

RR + RB is ok, but he’s disgusting with UB so you could switch it up whenever you felt like it. 50/50 teleport mixup into 50/50 hi/low mixup into safe blockstring > repeat is pretty sick. Anytime you get someone blocking legs should be a free unblockable, too.

I imagine Chun would be able to use Log for double supers, dash over mixups, and easy corner carry. Mad hopper + Boulder incoming unblockables are pretty strong and having meaty legs to force the block would make that even worse.

I don’t personally agree with it, but if you’re looking to run a rushdown/corner IM you’re pretty much stuck with missiles, drones, or RR’s spitfire assist (I would have a hard time justifying that since Log is really good for him, though).

I thought so. Missiles and drones. Maybe I give the raccon a try. I like playing doom, but seeing everyone overuse him, I feel like one more of the bunch.

OTG H Smart Bombs xx Iron Avenger is such a fucking pain in my side in the corner. I usually backdash to make it easier, but you lose 40-50k damage that way. In order to get full damage you have to wait until they are in hard knockdown state then do H Smart Bombs xx Iron Avenger as one motion. There are also hitbox anomalies on characters such as Wolverine where you have to wait even longer than normal.

How do you guys do it?
