Does whirlwind really help she hulk? I was considering a she hulk storm team myself actually.
I have been having tons of fun with She-hulk, Trish, and Doom its like you have 2 different teams because of Doom. Doom can really help She-hulk rush in and lock down your opponent plus emerald canon into sphere flame does really good damage. Then you have that fantastic keep away with Trish and Doom especially if Doom has Hidden missiles .I also love Peekaboo to help protect She-hulk from rush down and you can use it for some crazy mix ups when your opponent is in a corner
She Hulk, Taskmaster, Akuma. This team ignores damage scaling. Expect a minimum of 800k every time you hit them with Akuma Tatsu assist and almost 900k with a normal touch. No dhc required. Only thing is against heavy zoning teams, I have a hard time getting in with She Hulk. I played a Dante/Doom team and he just shot missles at me all day with both characters and I couldn’t do anything with her. Had to bring in Taskmaster to deal deal with that stuff. Thats another thing. Any character can run point on this team I think.
Yo been testing out shulk and spidey, its actually a pretty potent combination. I had no idea spideys balls made opponents neutral tech, thats literally an inescapable tot against everyone but sentinel(because of hard drive) unless Im mistaken. On top of that, I don’t have to guess where they air tech when Im going for my :qcf: , or back dash(in case they come down mashing) and then hit em with a :qcf: :h:, this definitely looks like it has some potential, ill be back in bout a month once I’ve play tested. My team at the moment is she-hulk/spider-man/dormammu(maybe akuma not sure yet), now all I gotta do is level up my spidey because he is assssssssss right now. I hope UMVC 3 has some other assists that force a standing state, I find it a tad bit ridiculous that out of 108 assists, only 1 performs this action.
Glad its working out for ya! I suggest you check out some of the videos of airborneand xeroover at the spidey forums. They have some good combos and concepts you should pick up. Oh and as a tip against phoenix players, kill em with maximum spider then input she hulks taking out the trash during her transformation screen pause for an easy to do phoenix kill ;).

thinkin of running she hulk/dante/ironman, any feedback on this? she hulk is fun as hell
Not a bad team imo, iron man covers her approach and helps her rushdown a little while dante is always nice on any team.
In an attempt to both revive this thread and get some help, I’ll make me a post.
I recently picked up a team consisting of She-hulk (Torpedo)/Shuma (Ray)/Dorm (Hole). I mocked up a little re-launch combo (which I can post if anyone cares) in the day I had to hit the lab before vacation which deals about 650 meterless, 800 starting with 1 meter, and almost a million starting with 2 (It builds a bit more than a meter). I didn’t have time to see if I could fit in 2 relaunches without Hit Stun raping me. I know that She-hulk can relaunch on her own, but I’m too much of a lazy ass to get it down, plus I wanted to be original.
Just wanted to see what you She-hulk pros thought of my humble little set-up. Any assist/character changes I should make?
Hey man been trying out this team and I’ve encountered one issue, web ball seems to hit inconsistently, sometimes my opponent is air borne other times they are not. It can actually turn out to be a positive if i can just figure out why it happens, do you have any idea? I do butt stomp while calling spidey, but Im also trying to learn otg torpedo while calling the assist. Its kinda irritating cause I don’t know which grab to go for. Oh and how do you punish people who mash out of the set-up?
Im no she-hulk pro, heck Im barely an amateur but heres my 2 cents. She-hulk and dorm make a nice pairing, you pair one of the best points in the game with one of the best anchors in the game, makes your team consistently terrifying. I know next to nothing bout shuma, but I hear his mystic ray assist is beastly. But just an idea, maybe you could test out his mystic stare. Correct me if Im wrong but once the opponent is hit, they have to block right? Won’t that set them up perfectly for command grabs? Just my 2 cents and this is 100 percent theory since I don’t even own shuma yet.
I’m going off of memory here, but I’m 99% sure Mystic Stare doesn’t put the opponent in enough hit stun to relaunch, you are, however, right that it can be used for some nice resets since they’re forced to block unless they want to eat an explosion. Methinks Mystic Ray is too good to give up, though.
Cool, I just like experimenting a bit before I settle on an assist as opposed to going with the one thats generally considered the best if you know what I mean.
Yeah it happens to me all the time. The only way to control it is the timing of your OTG. Make sure you time the last air S that causes the flying screen as late as possible so you have ample time to assist, jump, then butt splash. The key is to do this as fast possible. I know online lag makes this impossible to do consistently which is why I do the H command grab because it has tons of active frames and can catch them as they land if they pop out in the air or somehow end up on the ground. Mashers must be mashed back, but make sure you mash L; it’s quick enough to stop most attacks because they usually mash H or S. But if you want to get fancy use taking out the trash or her super armor moves, do runner’s start to clothesline or wall jump butt splash, or just jump :d: H. You can usually link that into combo with good timing. Otg torpedo with the assist is something you should shoot for though. I’m having a hard time with the runner’s start cancel myself.

ive been using she hulk as anchor since day one. It sounds horrible on paper but it does me well unless phoenix is involved.
Turns out I give bad advice. I decided to look into why they are being caught on the ground after the butt splash and it actually has to do with the timing of butt splash. The stuff you do before that matters less than the timing of the :d: H. Make sure that press it when spidey is on screen rather than before he shows up. If you do the OTG too early, you end up making them hit the web when they are still grounded. If you do it as late as possible they (ie. right when spidey shows up), they end up in the air. Although an application of the grounded reset would be if you wanted to lv. 3 command grab them.
Nice find man, on the flip side I think I found a way to land the otg torpedo while calling an assist consistently. You see its actually just a mindset, instead of thinking “let me call this assist and then perform the otg torpedo” I just performed the input in this manner, :d::d::s: :f: and then I treated the assist call like the :l: I would hit to make her otg so your performing :d::d::s::f::a1: and from here all you gotta do is hit :l: on your controller and your home free. I know it sounds obvious, but simply thinking about it in this manner made all the difference for, maybe it’ll do the same for you.
well, im pretty much set on this team. been looking for a third and finally tried out she hulk.
She Hulk (Torpedo) / Taskmaster (H. Arrows) / Dr. Doom (P. Beam)
so far so good, found some interesteding combo potential.
all assist compliment eachother pretty well. Shulks torpedo sets up unblockables.
command grab fun with her as well.
team dhc fairly well. ill do basic she hulk combo, emerald cannon, to taskmasters up arrows to jump down arrows if want/need be.
if its their best character, ill x factor out of up arrows (towards the end) then do down arrows. it’s enough to kill wesker.
all have a good amount of life, all scary in any level x factor.
only a week into this team, so still much more to figure
Shulk Trish Akuma
Came up with an unblockable setup off of trish’s round harvest, this is best for knockdowns on oppenents,
Round Harvest tag akuma call shulk (torpedo assist) then akuma’s overhead not only do you get the chip damage but you get a free combo which could go to easy 100% plus you have a semi unblockable dhc’ glitch if you tag shulk back in. Basically its Shulks bnb as u do the otg torpedo call trish (peekaboo) and when you hit with torpedo look at where they tech if its forward dash back and use her air hyper if its neutral or back just do the air hyper
