SFxT General Discussion #4 - Witty title

Asuka’s mix-ups=easy mode. You don’t even have to work for them. They just hand to them to you like Hwo and Nina mix-ups…garbage sr.

LOOL, easy mode yeah? Just for that, you can hold them mixups to Juri’s chest…sorry, ok?

Edit: I see the Blood Talon still haunts your dreams…don’t worry he will get nerfed and Juri will become Goddess tier aka poster girl ok

I will admit I couldn’t help to bust out laughing. I love yanking people’s chains. Gives them a sense of hope. anyway, I like working for my mix-ups sir.

Not everything can be handed to me ya’know. :stuck_out_tongue:

Whorey just really needs a overhead frame nerf on block. Bc nerfs are universal and should all be nerfed.

Juri ain’t no goddess…goddess’ are nice…no…that’s a badass…something Chun and Asuka only wish they were.

Anyway…easy mode mix-ups SON!

I also like working for my mix ups as well as being creative with them…it’s not my fault people are scared of kickstarterang or you want the hurt for no reason, they just want to say hello garddamnit

That’s why I love having airborne normals. Asuka will get the hurtz…in the face. Then she gets carried to the corner…where on her back…easyyyyyyyy prey…just like nina…delicious…

Valle is an intimidating player. It’s like I could feel his power level a la DBZ.
Only other player who made me feel that way in SFxT so far has been Jwong. Took about an even number of games from him (Valle), though.

And Ryan Hunter is way too fun to play!

Speaking of, when are they going to patch in another character remotely as fun as Hwoarang?

They should also patch up Asuka’s elbow overhead. In theory it should be launchable since near the end of it’s startup it goes into a crouching state.

It depends how you play her. I play a rather defensive, footsie Nina which is fairly different to most players. The way I play I’m not rushdown / in your face, I generally just try out space you and win on patience even if you don’t realize that’s the game we’re playing.

Generally I want to sit in a certain range where you’re easy to anti - air with LK geyser and I can tag your approach with Ivory Cutter outside of the range where I risk getting hit during start up.

I use her long limbs like her sweep a lot as well.

When I do go in it’s a lot of jab > strong pressure, fishing for hit confirms and poking, less mix up based, more just frame knowledge. It benefits me that Ryu trains my opponent to block low a lot of the time as it lets me abuse the overhead more and keep you guessing. Nina doesn’t have safe low hit confirms.

I don’t play nina so eh.

I’ve been trying to find a sub anchor for a while now, but I’m starting to think that maybe I should just stick to my guns. I’m pretty comfortable with Christie in the back, but I like generally having a few pocket characters, especially for characters she doesn’t handle well. I really like Elena, but I can’t get rhino horn combos down at all, they just feel really weird too me. I’ve tried Juri, but getting down when to use the fireball storing aspect gets me confused at times. Paul just feels sluggish for me, or maybe I’m just not approaching him right.

On a sidenote! I don’t know how I managed to win as much as I did with Poison/Kazuya before going to Poison/Christie fulltime. I pick him back up every once in a while, and I sort of realized that I probably was never that great with him to begin with, which means that Poison probably did most of the work for me in that combo. ^^;;

Just gotta get this outta my system:
I fucking hate Asuka. With every ounce of my being, I want her to be erased from existence. And every single one of you that plays her, you deserve nothing less than the worse that hell has to offer.

She’s just like fucking Yuri in KOFXIII. Why bother playing the game when the fucking character plays it for you? Cross up after cross up after cross up. Even fucking beginners can give you as much tension when you fight her as an expert any other character.

Fuck that character. Take Asuka and Yuri, put them in Marvel where their auto-pilot bullshit is welcome, and leave them the fuck out of everything else.

Asuka and Yuri are braindead? This is news to me lol.

It’s funny because I tend to dislike both characters but dude, you’re fucking high.

Once they get their shit started, I’m just in block stun for fucking days. I have no idea what to fucking do about it. Try to punish with a fast normal? Eat this frame trap. Anti-air? Hope you like Whiffs 'n Counter-Hits for breakfast! So I just sit their blocking, blocking, blocking, I have no idea what to fucking do. Alpha counters seem to work less than half the time and do negligible damage when they do hit.

I just fought three different Asuka users back to back and all of them gave me a hard time. One of them was so bad with Ryu that it seemed like it was their first fighting game, then as soon as he switched to Asuka I was on the ropes several times. It just frustrated the absolute hell out of me. I’m talking Marvel 3 salt.

Lili, Hwoarang, Kazuya…Tekken chars in general.

SO3 > SO4. SO4 must of had a low-tier budget, cause SO3 blows it out of the water. It would have been perfect if I could avoid getting stun locked, or if there was a more efficient way of building the bonus gauge.

It could work. All Ken does is Shoryuken, so he’s not too harsh on the scaling when switching into Alisa.

-He’s mid-tier at absolute best. His Bushin-flip whatever move can be AA’d by Shoto cr. HPs, as well as other AAs that reach above the character’s head. He’s got frame traps and junk still, but the lack vortex abuse kills him a bit. Also, his pressure game is iffy. To compensate, he can combo jumping MP with his command throw in the air, so that’s a good thing for him. Also, he’s got nice mobility and a crazy jump arc. Solo damage ain’t shabby, but it caps out at 300-ish a lot due to relying on so many hits. He’s more of a momentum based character, snagging as many confirms into damage as he can, rather than landing something with like 600 damage in one swoop.

-For the most part, yes. Not as strong due to rolls, but yea.

-Cody, Jin, Heihachi, Ryu, Kazuya, Raven. Basically someone with around 1k health and compliments one of three things: Mobility, frame traps, momentum.

Psh, whatever. I can’t use chars I don’t like cause I literally can’t use them. I don’t like Jin that much, and to boot, I find him impossible to use. GO FIGURE. =__=*

Guy has been giving me a lot of trouble tbh.

I expect it’s just growing pains and I’m letting him get away with bullshit.

Been having issues with the elbow drop and flip grab mostly. The elbow I haven’t been able to aa from the ground. Nina’s cr.hp reaches up like you said, but i haven’t made it ir lkGS work for me against it. Even get crossed up by it too often.

I’ve just been jb.HKing like crazy against him in response to it. That and just making sure to punish slides and runs.

She needs all the help she can get when she’s in there…she has mythical footsies, if you know how to keep her out it’s a 15023196513213621315-0 matchup in your favor AND you can punch her face off due to her slow startup on some of her moves (you like the way I said her and she so many times? That’s to counter you saying F’ing) loool @ autopilot, nah mate…far from it.

I’ll just have to find people who play her so I can get some matchup experience, I guess. Literally had no idea what to do against her. Not a clue.

As far as keeping her out, my characters are close range. I gotta get close to her.

Ahh I see, she is definitely problematic if you don’t know the matchup, she does have flaws but it wouldn’t seem like that when she has the momentum

no good
