SFxT General Discussion #3 - Still Alive

Even those moves are pale in comparison, they are strong in this game. As for EWGF, I’m fine with it the way it is, it’s a very hard move to pull off, and highly susceptible to AC’S or just blocking.

AC’s are not a good answer to it.

The difficulty of execution is not a good excuse for a move being that good.

Come on, give it some leniency. That’s Kazuya’s trademark move, a staple of the Mishima style. It functions the same way in Tekken. I don’t know about it’s invincibility in that game, it also seems easier to avoid too.

And without it he’s just not that good. Although I am glad his Cr.Lk is being nerfed, that seemed as good as Cody’s.

There’s a sidestep in Tekken.

Also, i could careless about whether its a signature move or not. It just stupid in its current state.

And for the record, all I would do to it would be to make it negative on block. That way it doesn’t lock you down. I would have also made the wavedash vulnerable below the waist, rather than immune to everything but lows (like it is now). Too many characters don’t have lows good enough to fight against it when combined with the fact that Kazuya has the second best cLK in the game (behind Cody)

Your words are harsh. EWGF isn’t an accessible move that your average Kazuya player is going to pull off. It’s a reward for spending time trying to input a one frame special consistently. For a Kazuya player to lock you down with EWGF he technique has to be truly perfect, something which is very difficult to master. In all my time playing Street Fighter X Tekken, I’ve only run into a handful amount of Kazuya players who could perform this technique consistently. I entirely agree with you in regards to his Cr.Lk being too good, it needed to be nerfed.

Apparently people were taking pictures of the tournament, and they ended up taking a picture of me and Ricky in grand finals. Just look at the crowd.

Shououts to No Shave November

looks at earlier posts Do you guys seriously want burnkick/seismo switch cancel in this game? You people are nuts. Let her stay a marvel and ae character plz.

I want it all! Plus Viper would destroy JACK for free, and kill all crouch techers.

Hmm… Touché friend, touché.

Seriously though, it would be interesting to see. I’d probably hate dealing with her shenanigans just like I do in AE, but it’d be really interesting. And hey, maybe this game’s systems would calm her down?

Of course I wouldn’t mind seeing Elf either (play him for fun from time to time)… yeaaaah I’m likely blacklisted just by saying that. XD

Seth can stay his bland ass in AE. Fuck Seth.

You know what I REALLY want?
I’d love to have some news occassionally twitteteted, leaked, however they want to do it on Tekken x Street Fighter
I really am worried the game just won’t work in a Tekken-style, but I WANT to proven wrong.
Then again, I’m a hell of a lot better in 2d fighters than 3d. They make more sense to me - So I’ll probably play it, hate it - cuz I suck.

For example, I love DOA and especailly DOA5, but I can’t fight online for shit!

Some possible teams that could be added if Capcom is still up to it along with possible motivations:

Seth (definitely no longer #15 as he was already killed by Bison canonically) and C. Viper - After the failure of the BLEECE project due to Shadaloo’s intervention, they decided to get to Pandora for the sake of revenge against the latter. (rival team would be Lee and Anna, ending leads to backstabbing)

Yun and Yang - The probable motivation that they have is their sense of adventure and the desire to face strong opponents and nothing more. (rival team would be Leo and Miguel, ending leads to simply going home only to be scolded by Houmei. AGAIN)

Gouken and Gen - Their primary motivation is to oversee their respective students as well as to see what the fuss is all about (rival team would be Feng Wei and Ganryu, ending would be them destroying the box as they thought that it’s a fraudulent way to gain power)

**Rose and T. Hawk **- Knowing that Bison is seeking the Pandora, they set off to stop him. (rival team is Dragunov and Zafina, ending leads to them being able to destroy the box but somehow they became the new host of Pandora’s energy)

Lee and Anna - Probably the same as the S.I.N. team’s motivation, in which they just go after Pandora to spite their respective relatives. (rival team would be Seth and Viper, ending leads to them losing the box in a comical way)

Feng Wei and Ganryu - Ganryu heard about Julia’s quest for Pandora, so he go there as well to please her. He then recruits Feng Wei, who is interested as well as he seeks martial arts perfection and he thought that obtaining Pandora would grant him that desire as well as being tired in destroying dojos on a regular basis. (rival team would be Gouken and Gen, ending leads to backstabbing and losing the box as a result)

Leo and Miguel - Motivation is obviously revenge against the G Corporation and Mishima Zaibatsu, respectively (rival team will be Yun and Yang, ending would be them getting corrupted by the box due to their thirst for vengeance and ended up fighting each other)

Dragunov and Zafina - Dragunov went off to Antarctica to obtain the box under the orders of the Politburo. Zafina then contacted him and offered him her assistance, in which he agreed. (rival team is Rose and T. Hawk, ending resulted in them successfully the box and leaving on good terms)

I’d like new characters but then again I don’t. It’s hard enough to learn 50+ match-ups as it is…

Yun and Yang are already in this game… so is Honda.

You have no idea how badly I want to yank those two out of the background…

And that’s not Honda, it’s Ganryu.

Oh you silly person you.

End of the day I do agree with the almighty Lord William that 50 is already a big roster, with surprisingly few clones. Adding more - at least right now - would be detrimental.

But… Karin and Leo :frowning:

…almighty? Just because I have Lord in my username doesn’t make me almighty…I know that Klonoa is awesome and all, but…

Anyway…suprisingly few clones? More like none…the only clones in the game are the shotos. Unless I’m missing something…

I’ve also been curious…what’s the appeal of Karin? She seems like another spoiled rich brat…we already have one of those. One is enough. Actually…one seems like too much. :arazz:

I don’t want Karin in this game either. She’s trash compared to Lili, but thats my opinion as a Tekken fanboy. Also I’d rather not have to deal with mirror matches all day if I don’t have to.

Well, there’s nothing wrong to make wishes. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, MVC2 (which has two Wolverines) and CVS2 has a lot of fighters in their respective series and they are hailed as the best games in their series(?).

In terms of clones, they could be in terms of playstyle and not in aesthetics. Asuka is probably a Tekken version of Makoto, for instance. The game has already like 5 billionaires in this game (Kazuya, Jin, Ken, Lili, and Dudley.)

SODOM and Q.

I tend to over-dignify people’s names, just how I roll. Sirs and such. :-p

That’s what I meant, just the shotos. Those are the only actual clones. Pretty damn good for a roster of 50+.

Karin’s my A3 main, and while she and Lili are eerily similar personality-wise, they have pretty different playstyles. Plus Lili doesn’t have THE LAUGH.

EDIT: actually, I take that back. They do have somewhat similar playstyles actually.

Now if you’ll excuse me–

…I have no words.

I agree on Sodom for sure. If Karin and R.Mika couldn’t make, then Sodom should’ve dammit!
If it’s his name causing problems then just call him Katana I don’t care.
