Gief x Jack is definitely a strong team. It’s not broken but definitely very strong.

Watching that Poison mirror match makes me want to pick her up again.
Heh thanks guys
Also yes I am of age >_>, hands off.
Sigh, I had to modify my synergy combo as it has a very high drop rate. I could’ve just chosen to replace Ryu with Ken and the synergy would be much better, but I don’t like using a “blonde guy with a flaming Shoryuken. Take that away, what is he?” character (no offense to Ken players). Man, it will take a lot of repetitions before my muscle memory could fully implement it.
For information, the original synergy combo goes like this:
If starting with Juri:
any combo ending with mk.Senpusha (which may or may not include a stored Fuhajin), switch cancel to Ryu at the very first hit of Senpusha, j.HK, hp.Shoryuken, switch cancel, cr.HP xx jp.HP, cr.MP, lk.Fuhajin.
If starting with Ryu:
hp.Shoryuken, switch cancel, cr.HP xx jp.HP, cr.MP, lk.Fuhajin
The problem with this synergy is that there is a 80% chance that cr.HP would miss or would hit too late to follow-up with jp.HP to connect as some characters get knocked beyond cr.HP’s range. If I switch to Ken, just replace hp.Shoryuken with mp.Shoryuken and it has a better chance of hitting since mp.Shoryuken has two hits and it doesn’t knock the opponent too far. The solution I’ve got is to remove cr.HP altogether and just go straight to jp.HP for a ground bounce and then follow it up with cr.MP xx lk.Fuhajin to complete the combo.
As a result, I’m able to complete the synergy at the expense of cr.HP’s damage, though the damage could be much higher if the first part of the combo has only a few hits. And boy, my fingers hurt.
If I may recommend…
Juri to Ryu:
end with HK.senpusha instead of MK OR hk.fuhajin… both do more damage than mk.senpusha and serve the same purpose for a tag combo.
also
Instead of cr.hp xx j.hp > cr.mp xx lk.fuhajin, do cr.hp xx j.hp > cl.hp xx lk.senpusha (more damage) or mk.senpusha (can tag off it). Unless of course you’re going for a store to continue pressure. Depending on how high ryu’s SRK knocks the opponent you may also be able to do Juri’s extended jump cancel combo of: cr.hp xx j.hp > j.mk > cl.hp xx lk.senpusha
Full offense taken. >:( just kidding
On that note, I’m thinking of dropping Ken now. Well…maybe not “dropping” him, but finding another partner. Heihachi and Ken have really, really good combo synergy. Once I get in, you’re taking 400+ damage per combo whether or not you’re in the corner. Only problem is…getting in in the first place. Ken has decent normals, but a really bad fireball and he doesn’t really seem to have a strong neutral game from my experience with him. Cr. mk is pretty good and st. mp has an amazing hitbox, but aside from that he doesn’t really seem to have much. He has good tools for staying in (his cr.mk xx CADC is pretty good and is hard to react to even if it isn’t actually safe, and come 2013 he’ll have a safe CADC with his target combo buff), has good defensive tools (two great anti-airs, invincible DPs and an amazing cross cancel), and great combo synergy with most of the cast. Only issue is that it seems that he wants to stay in his opponent’s face, and other than air tatsu (which got nerfed already and is getting nerfed again), he doesn’t really seem to have much for getting in. Well, there is step kick I guess…
I’m gonna stick it out with my Ken/Heihachi team for a while longer. See if I can find some way to overcome that weakness with my team. But at the moment, it seems like I’m playing two characters who struggle anywhere outside of the mid-close range…
Okay, I want to learn Cammy, oh based Roknin/BadIntent, how does I do this?
This is how to play Asuka! Drop her and replace her with the “airhead”!
Welcome to the club sir. Jab jab jabs on the house, all day err’ day.
Your best bet is to look at my matches, see everything I do… and do the exact opposite. Guaranteed wins.
Nah I kid. Anything specific? I can try to help out. Great thing about Cammy is that starting out, she’s definitely an easy pick up. Most of her combos are pretty simple, and if you’re familiar with her SF4 version, some of that (that I can recall) still works.
Fergus confirmed traitor. I’m taking over the Asuka army now D:
I’ve fought plenty of Poison players in the last few days but check out Gay_Angel, Luhy, BustaCappa, and Xykes. Those are the main ones I know. I can’t remember the other poison players names but I guess thats a start.
Step 1: s.:lp:.
Step 2: …???
Step 3: PROFIT.
Not until both of you have a:
天 FIGHT TO THE DEATH! 天
Fergus’ Asuka vs Darkphyre’s Asuka. Winner leads the army, loser becomes the subordinate and we all get to watch it on Youtube :D.
I’d imagine it would look something like this.

EDIT: Okay now I see i—OMG wow, lmao.
I LOL’d so hard today. The Heihachi mirror is so suspensful. First round= total craziness, counters and no respect. Second round= less craziness, a little more respect. Third round/End result= Two old ass dudes turtle walking afraid to get Combo’AA’d. Whoever starts the offense basically wins.(In the beginning we both just tag to Heihachi and had a duel TOO DA DEATH.
IT WAS ONE TIME I SWEAR!
Edit: Lol at picture.
