I’ll have to work on the Sak match vs Birdie. Probably a few of those heads/horns that either she can’t punish or i have to know a specific timing to punish depending on what I have. With Chun and Ibuki its easy cuz I have EX legs or HK Kazekiri for meterless punish. There was that one v trigger bullhead you did max range that I couldn’t punish with HK Kaze but that was it.
You have pretty good reactions which is good and use the bullhorn for AA which is solid.
The main things you need to improve on are just being a little more patient in neutral and on defense. It seems like sometimes you feel like you’re forced to do an EX bullhead or bull revenger hop grab just to get momentum. It works sometimes but once the opponent catches on and starts neutral jumping or AA buttoning them out then you’re just burning meter and taking punishes unnecessarily.
On defense you almost always hit a button which at higher level play means you will take a counter hit or throw tech whiff punish everytime someone gets near you. Sometimes you need to just block so the only way the opponent can open you up without an overhead is a throw that will reset you to neutral. Regular throws dont give anyone much oki anymore so its ok to just block and take a grab sometimes and save your EX and bullhorn reversals for later when it’ll be more of a surprise. Once the opponent starts to shimmy too much then you can counter their shimmy with a light button and get back momentum. Much safer and gets you blown up less fast then pressing a button on every wake up.
You need to use your medium and light buttons a lot more also. Use a lot more s.LK, c.LP and s.MP. Those buttons are really tough for shorter ranged characters to deal with, low risk and all great whiff punishers.
Fun games though and we’ll have to play more on your road to Diamond. I’ll check out your replays and such sometimes to help out.

Yeah I figured it was coast to coast connection since there was a bit of typical delay for that range, but playable otherwise. NP man.
I’m starting to get it now. I was listening to one of Floe’s broadcasts a few years back and he was talking about the concept of turns. Seems I had completely forgotten altogether. Been waiting my turn much more and it’s easier to land stuff now just because I’m waiting more. Shoot, I just finished up a match with a Chun that didn’t wanna wait her turn and she got blown up pretty badly.
I just realised that if you randomly alternate between Alex stomp and Alex air command grab you can beat me 10/10 times.
What’s the strategy to deal with those? Block every time and just take the grab?
Neutral jump or neutral jump attack beats both. Personally I think should gain a hit box earlier.

Buffer s.LK to MP DP a lot. Learn to confirm s.HP into HP tatsu or HP shou from further out. s.MP, b+HP, HK tatsu is cool. c.HP to V Skill as AA can do some funky stuff (even though its not completely real), yeah
j.HK is also hard to anti air cuz its really shallow and gives you big combos so use that too.
