It’s not gonna be that hard IMO. It’s just like holding a TAP for Rog or Birdie, but a bit more anime as far as accounting for which button you hold. Doesn’t matter which button you charge it does the same thing so you can always just use your least used button for the situation you’re in to charge.
Juri was harder because you had to hard give up one of the kick buttons whether you need a LK, MK or HK fireball. Sometimes they’re giving up two buttons and potentially screwing up their ability to tech throws just to have 2 stores up. For Falke LP, MP and HP all shoot the same fireball just like charging Birdie’s bullhorn releases the same horn regardless. Whichever punch button you use the least in neutral you can just hard choose that as your button to choose. Having your charges right for combos will take some work, but outside of that shouldn’t be too bad.
I mean she will definitely be of some execution, but still not like Menat, Guile loop, SBK charge/IALL level stuff. It’ll be more just accounting for your charge timing and neg edge which is like Guile or Zero.
yeah that’s exactly what came to mind when i saw the trailer. they did mocap and didn’t do enough to make her look like she’s actually jumping in the air or have momentum. they record everything with the actress staying in one small area. same with Sakura’s animations. very NRS.
The jump-back and neutral jump fireball seal it for me as far as Falke’s potential. Those kinds of tools are part and parcel as to why Akuma is considered so good, and he only gets them jumping forward or in V-Trigger. There’s obviously no guarantee as to whether or not the rest of her tools add up to the overall strength that Akuma has, but you never wanna look cross-eyed at top tier AA and a defensive move as good as a jump back air fireball
don’t you have to charge her air fireballs like the grounded ones though? (which take 1.5 seconds to do so and also has a visual indicator giving your opponent the heads up)
Eh, with juri’s charges, her mk/hk stores acted as a decent substitute for techs since they were airborne very early on. Of course that was very rarely abused and not easily done but possible. I mean being able to sail over some lows and bypass ALL throws? Payoff was decent. Can’t ask for much more then that.
Yeah a game can’t be too bad if people trying to still fish their way into it years later. I gave MKX 2 months, haven’t played it since. KI 2 years, haven’t played it since. DBFZ one day, dont play it
BUT SFV i wanna like it i gotta learn to like it there’s gotta be a way. I know SFAC comes out next month with like 4 other SF games and online but I gotta try.
People try to stick with the popular games. Happened with sfiv as well. Even punk playing dbfz even though he doesn’t like it.
I played sfiv until the end of super and only played season 1 of sfv. Really just depends on the person or what kind of scene people have available to them
If you’re real eSports I can kinda see going for the big game just because you’re not going to have a lot to talk about with your eSports friends if you aren’t playing their game, but if you aren’t going to local majors/eSports shit all the time not much reason to force it.
There’s so many games out now that you should be able to find something with a decent population offline or at least online. Running your face into the popular games just losing time you could be finding people that play games you like.
If I ever went full eSports I don’t think I’d play stuff I didn’t like. Especially if the money isn’t going to be there for me. I’d still want to play what is fun to play and just work towards being in the money in whatever that is. Playing shit you dont like sucks balls. Might as well just be any job at that point.
Also depends on the time you have available to play. Like I have to play a highly populated game because I never really have real free time lol. Usually just sit in training mode and if I find time I turn on casual match
Yeah for me I’d rather grind to find matches in something with a lower population. If I’m getting quick matches in a game I don’t like, it doesn’t do anything for me. I dont go “well hey at least I’m getting matches in MKX/IJ2”. Just not gonna have fun playing it and just eventually will turn it off.
If you can play a game you dont like and make it work, then I guess that works. I just know I’d be finding 3 people in anything else other than something that I know completely disinterests me.
It’s hard for me to truly hate any fighting game. I could play any game if needed. There are a lot of things I hate about a game but could still enjoy it if I have decent competition.
