Might unlock it regardless though, will be good to have if I ever decide to go back.

Yeah, thatās basically me right now. It tookā¦ 30 years or so but Iām finally kinda moving past āwantingā to play competitive games. The reasons are many but Iām tired of putting in my time learning new bnbs, time learning new strategies, time learning fundamentals. Also there the huge fact that I basically know āeverythingā there is to know about competitive gamesā¦ what makes you good, what gives you potential, what gives you talent or not, etc etc. I look at new games and see all this ātechā and itās basically been there done that. Neutral in newer fighting games is very boring and itās all upclose fighting or some suchā¦ I love upclose fight, I really do. But I also love the meat on a hamburgerā¦ I just wouldnāt want to sit there and eat noth8ng but a patty day in and day outā¦ good protein and all but I need that shit to be all around. If Iām not fighting for the entire screen at all times and I donāt have threats at near full screen with 80% or characters Iām just not feeling fulfilled.

And more than anything Iām just getting old and the reactions while still good and decent enough, take more concentration to make use of and shit starts to feel like mad work. And when your fun turns to workā¦ probably better to do something else.
Iām getting back into weightlifting and small bodybuilding and cooking and just being a family man in general. Itās felt pretty good for the last few months so Iāve got no complaints at all. Last I talked to highland was about a month ago and he seems in or close to the same place.

Iāve definitely had that happen for different games. Part of playing anything competitively is that even though it can be really satisfying and fulfilling it is not what I would call relaxing. I still feel āgoodā from the endorphins especially when something sick happens but it aināt the same as playing something low stress, low maintenance.
Plus I cannot play FGs with any kind of alcohol in my system (maybe one beer but past that Iām just slapping buttons) so when I want to enjoy a beer or a bourbon its time for something else.
Iāve recently picked up Gears 4 to try out my shiny new X and because Iāve always been a fan of the series and it has been quite pleasant some afternoons/evenings to gun down robots and bugs. 
Someone just got a great new idea for an art commission. 
Also Laura Gloria is fucking rad. I had this funny concern all year that when they finally did a crossover costume for Laura itād be when I had a lot of trips lined up. Thankfully that costume finishes up right before our EVO trip.

its really time for them to make the base game f2p and get over it. every mechanic is already in place but for whatever reason there they hesitate. they make more money with dlcĀ“s then the game anyway at this point so this way they would enlarge the playerbase which means more profit for them.
