Why do you want it to fail exactly? It’s a well polished game, built very cleanly to appeal to the fans it’s catering to. It’s not the most complex fighter, but it wasn’t trying to be. There was no false advertising here.
The only conceivable reason I can come up with for hating DBFZ to the extent of wanting it to fail, is that it might be another catalyst pushing fighting games down a more dumbed down path. Which is a legitimate fear – ArcSys already went on record saying the next GG will be more simple, which is like an oxymoron considering GG is GG due to its complex systems and characters.
Otherwise, why want for its failure? It’s well made, produced, and it’s gameplay may not be for everyone, but their design goals for it is very clear. Dislike it subjectively all you want, but it’s a well made game.
I don’t like assist fighters – I don’t really play it, but I can still recognize it for what it is. I’m happy ArcSys is finally getting mainstream attention, they sort of deserve it at this point.
In terms of balancing, patches yes. Game still has some bugs and glitches that need sorting out but no word from IG or ms on this. But otherwise…fineato.
Oh people play it, but there’s a supposed glitch where you won’t be able to get matches because the servers aren’t allowing it for whatever reason. Or so I’ve heard.
The post was to prove a point, that DBFZ is far from a bad game.
As for SFV , it launched in a miserable state but Capcom are slowly patching it up,can’t really say the same about Infinite that has been almost forgotten by the developers.
As for the love and care part for SFV, well, at times yes. Most of the time idk…
Eventually everyone will realize this is the 3rd or 4th time this thread has gone through this same exact debate and conversation with absolutely no changes to it whatsoever.
