Huh I wasn’t expecting the Cody teases so soon. I wasn’t expecting it at all, actually.
If they’re getting the hype train rolling right now but his release follows the same schedule as the other characters he’d be dropping a month from now. Thats what seems weird to me
They don’t seem to have any set schedule, but it seems like so far there release schedule has been quicker than last year’s “every other month” thing.
Now we’re getting into the interesting half of this season’s characters.

Capcoms MO for character releases has been all over the place and mostly fell in the 1 every other month tip.
But they did say this year on a twitter post that they’d be releasing DLC characters at a much quicker pace. I figured that meant 1 every other month but no breaks or something.
They fact that we could be getting Cody this soon is really crazy. I’m atill gonna bank of them holding off till later but why even put out the teaser lol
With the way they’re speeding up the schedule, I’m starting to believe that we’ll actually get those 4 bonus character for the remainder of the year. Viper, Oro, Necro and Q I believe.

If he has a command grab he’ll be the first complained about DLC character.
I dont care if he sucks cody is a character from my childhood SNES gaming days so he will always have that nostalgic love from me

I predict Cody will be shit on day 1.
Other predictions:
- Momo will come out of hiding to play him
- Zonk won’t be as good as IV Zonk but he’ll have a new gimmick that’s better than IV Zonk
- VT2 is the one people will use (I don’t know what it is but that’s not the point)
- Bea will never main him but will use him as a training dummy with the story mode outfit using color 6
- Justin Wong will use him at at least 1 Wizard World tournament
- He’ll be put at mid tier on the tier lists but EH will have him at least 3 spaces higher
- PRIZM-NANA aka Major Boy will be the first highest ranked Cody before dropping him like he does all DLC
- Floe will have the best online Cody for a weekend
- Froztey won’t like him as much as IV Cody but enjoy some of his new stuff/animations/outfits
9-2. Froztey will drop Cody OR He’ll say some weak soy boi shit like (He ain’t de same bruhs)
9-3. Drop will be between the reveal trailer till the end of next month - I won’t main Cody cux he has a penis.
Bonus: Jin will also not main Cody because penis and because Falke will beat Cody.

Cody’s sway is gonna be his V-Skill, it’s just too obvious.
I guess Cody’s sway would technically count as getting an Omega move. It was a weird move in general though as even in A3 he could only use it in V ism IIRC
Hopefully Cody has enough unga but just enough footsies to get Momo back in his groove. He had successes with Season 1 Ken, but it was obvious that Ken was just too unga for his play style. Cody would probably have a better medium of being grounded enough while not having too much command grab, air yolo or run shit to abuse.
His Season 2 Ibuki was pretty honest also. He needs something inbetween where he can play to his style but isn’t too anime/yolo. Menat, Juri and Falke finally gave Infil and Wong more of what they were looking for so we’ll see.
Zonk knuckle was added as a replacement for his sway in SF4 so it’s clear Capcom feels it’s a part of his identity.
Oh also, one of his V-Triggers is gonna give him his final fight chains.
