Speaking from experience from fighting Birdies, it does work every time.
You have to either back off or ex DP to beat birdies st lk after blocked lk and hk tatsu.
Being minus 2 vs command grabbers is not a good idea in general. If you press any button or forget to jump its a free command grab.
With this game you really have to learn the frame data for certain characters or else they’ll(opponent) will take advantage if they know you dont know how punishable things are. you read frame data and youll likely shutdown most kens,rashids and lauras

I could have been a Falke main if she was released with it, but by now I am already too invested in Sakura to try and learn yet another character that plays nothing like Gief.
