Wait for characters. There’s zero reason to buy stages because other people will buy them and you’ll play on them online at some point anyway.

Field stage kinda cool but the backdrop kinda sucks, why not skybox wtf it’s just a one tone backdrop
King’s Court still the best stage.
I actually like the latest CPT stage though.
Simplified and far detailed stages are probably the best for fighting games like MVCI mostly had, because it reduce the tendency of lag. So it’s not training stage always.
I’m really really disappointed, and not just in the fact that there’s no characters. That’s upsetting but not what pisses me off…Its the fact that there is no information being shared, but hey there is a new item for sale!
I can’t support or encourage anyone else to play or support Street fighter 5, I’ve gotten dozens of people to either give the game a chance or stick around.
I’ve given capcom the benefit of the doubt. It’s a learning curve, the start of the game was mostly for hardcore fighters, the game has improved…blah blah blah.
I’ve watched them give updates and DLC plans for there triple A non esports titles like MH and RE.
I’ve stuck by as they fumbled through season 1 and 2…

But we can’t get updates, detail or info on a game and a standard for providing information and updates that you created the past couple years?
Nah, they can keep it. SF5 aint good enough to let a company jerk me around on there own schedule and provide updates at there own pace. They haven’t earned enough good will for that.
There are too many other games and fighters for me to support a company that give a simple update to lifeblood of target audience.
So I’m good on sf5, the sad thing is the game is in a pretty decent spot right now as the competitive side goes… Everything else…not so much so.
So depending on the update I might be back or I might not.
you want to support capcom dont you? blew it all on the lootboxes and purchase stuff with real money…

Yeah I shilled yesterday but i don’t spend a lot of money on SFV compared to yall. My boy Vega gets no costume love and Capcom will never too Nostalgia Ibuki or Chun.
Why would they make an announcement that there won’t be any new upcoming characters? If they are still planning anyway depending on how SFV is still appealing to it’s core audience?
They probably would do that if they are convinced that it’s time to end a support.
Because it would be pointless to make an announcement schedule in S4 that they would reveal a new character later in this date rather than just name the character already.

Agree. What it really need now is new tools for existing characters.
If FM is the problem then Capcom needs to fix the FM and adding new characters doesn’t solve anything with the FM.
So the real question is: would actually SAYING there’s nothing coming kill the game’s scene worse than saying nothing at all?
How many CPT views are just hoping for news views? How many people only play because they want to stay sharp for when a hypothetical next character drops?

There’s a blank spot on the upper right of the character select screen. If nothing else they should at least add one more fighter just to balance this out.
