It’s not even about “winning” , who the hell mains SF4 Sagat ( from super may I add), then SF5 Ryu for 3 seasons, the SF5 Sagat.
Swing your dick around mate if you like, greatest fighter ever. I’m off to bed.

Go to bed old man. LMK when you get master
Yeah playing Sagat and Ryu isn’t about winning, but you will complain less when you learn to adapt more and have better characters prepared when they don’t work out for a matchup.
I am not used to Jin being this semi level savage.
What in the ding dongs is going on here?
I played Alpha series very casually but i really got more serious in the game in SF4.
I guess i count as a 09’er but if i should feel bad about it or something, that ain’t happening.
With all it’s flaws , i loved that game.
Give and take, not exactly everyone can hop that fireball and punish her. If you have a fireball she can clip you with VS, if you haven’t you have to block, jump or walk back. Two of these 3 options will put her in an advantage situation.
I typically don’t find anyone in SFV to have terrible animations but a few of Cody’s do look pretty jank.
Juri and Urien are both characters where the stuff they abuse varies in strength by the matchup they’re fighting.
I totally wanna see Highland fight Zero May Cry now.
I’m just imagining Mel Gibson cursing in rage. as he’s getting hit with Lightning Loops.
ill take zero may cry over some of the ST or MvC2 shit he probably played with
1 not everyone can slide under a boom or bypass it with moves like Juri’s ex ryo so I don’t really get this kind of reasoning, there are always going to be characters that struggle against some characters’ tools
2 her fireball is -2 ob unless when used with very specific blockstrings so it doesn’t really put her in an extremely advantageous position
3 I don’t really get why being a charge character allows you to have some really good specials and normals but one use stores must be bad.
But tbh I don’t really care that much about her lk fuha, it is at least serviceable, it’s stores like MK and HK that leaves me baffled at how bad they are, and honestly I’d like a buff to her back walk speed and terrible CCs over that
I like how Highland uses the “I had a life excuse” currently.
But, how about he takes his Nostalgia googles of.
The pros hates SFIV too, if you go back and look at the beginning of SFIV, it looked exactly like SFVs beginning.
Not just that, the hate for SFIV suddendly disappeard as SFV came out and they had a new game to complain about.
Yet none of these SFIV was better sayer go back to play SFIV, cause most of them hated that game too.
And not everyone does what I did, packs their stuff and goes to other Fighter (or back to the old ones, I still play KoF98 on Fightcade and currently practice a bit of Melty)
Yeah life is relative. Some people get good at fighting games with a life, others don’t. It is what it is.
Sanford got as good as he did IIRC basically going homeless at one point just to beat Justin at the arcade. Is he salty and crazy sometimes? Sure, but being salty and crazy got him to a high point at fighting games that a lot of people with lives would never be able to achieve any way. Even ones without lives. With or without a life you gotta have something in you.
Yeah I’m going to cherry pick some matches against Diamonds on my way to Master with a character thats as honest and polarizing as she is. The GM Falke I regularly talk to has to drop games to certain Diamond characters almost for sure, but he’s already padded his wins up enough where it isn’t as much of a deal.
Getting up to that point you have to not take every laggy yolo Diamond player that’s not going to do your points any good if you lose. Especially if you’re not playing a top tier character. Works for me since I can spend more time getting streaks on the Masters/GMs/UGMs any way. I can always do another run on my PS4 account where I can run multiple characters and have to worry about it less any way.
That’s why Highland won’t get to Master anytime soon. He won’t get cheap. Ryu is jealous of his honesty. I know how to be cheap with honest stick characters.
I legit have no idea what these two are arguing about.
It’ll get us to 10,000 faster at least.
Well, we eventually made it back to something, something, Falke doesn’t deal with it.
So everything is familiar again.
+1 tatsu still lets you pressure (pretty long 4 frame lp) or interrupt 3 frame jab, and regardless of how distant the tatsu oh left you’ll almost always be able to combo into st lk. Even if it was +2 unless you were point blank you’d still struggle to get st mp to reach, and if it did, link it into anything that isnt st lk.
No really, wtf are you guys arguing about?
I have a sort of idea of whats up Highland’s butt and a sort of idea on whats up yours.
Think Highland is mad that midscreen game is still ass. DJ still likes cheap stuff. And then they’re yelling at each other for some reason.
SF5 has a chunk of the cast that plays samey from player to player. But there’s a good chunk of characters that let you move towards different tools if you want. Should switch characters if you arent getting what you want out of them.
I figure the jist of it is old man thinks just coming up into SFIV gives him a wide gamut of how fighting games play, but it really doesn’t.
Also when is your old ass getting to Master? @Twinblades is stuck in Super Diamond hell just over 20.5. You got a shot to get there before he does.
