But no, almost instant, plus a billion, confirm on hit into oki… it’s too much.

So firstly the spacing you need to get that 18 on block is very specific. There’s quite a few ranges where if you do it too far forward it whiffs and she’s negative or ranges where only one of the parts hit and she’s negative. It’s not the catch all demon air move people make it out to be, otherwise Fujimura would never have to footsie to win tournaments.

Plus attached to kunai resource and can be jumped on preemptively or beaten by certain EX moves on reaction. Being in the air generally kills its effectiveness even if it hits you.

It’s not the catch-all move that EX Kunai is, otherwise Juri would be seen at all at a tournament.

Spacing a tool makes it not unga so I mean we good to make LK.Fuha +on block, it’d need to be spaced to be useful.

I legit didn’t realize what that even was for the first 5 seconds.

The key to make Juri a better character without breaking the game is in giving her some rewarding oki, most of her oki is + only against quick rise.
The best way would be to give her chances to frame kill into a store and that store being plus at least on backrise.
So basically change the advantages or distance on her KDs and increase the active frames of store to 4 or ever 5.
Also s.MP being +6 OH or reduce s.HP to 7 frames so that it’s a CH combo and she can stop having to give up damage for getting a CH.

But enough of this.

Sagat is better then Sakura but much more difficult to be effective with ( imo ).

If I were to buff Juri, I would look at the MK and HK stores. They both feel like combo fluff.

It was said the MK is just a bad version hazanshu, what if it was… a good version of that move?

For HK I would explore making better as a combo ender.

Not a Juri expert, but I think that’s a better place to look than making the already strong LK fireball even better.

And of course, stores could stand to be better.

My idea to buff Juri, have her always have the Moves and turn her stores into Jams from GG. Also make the Stores + because we need more Unga in SFV.

Her MK and HK are so linear in use it’s hard to make them good on their own merits. They’re just shitty damage dump tools.

Make MK fuha an overhead, who gives a shit? It’s slow as shit. Not at all hard to see. Just pump the damage up to make storing worth it, it’s all you can do with her current design because it’s trash. Pump up the knockdown advantage, pump up the damage.

Most antifireball moves can’t do shit against Juri fireballs, y’all want that move buffed. Ok. So those characters who already have to give up the mid-range when the LK Fuha is travelling will be fucked up even more.

Nobody here asked for top tier Juri ( just jokingly ).

But we have a character that has received feedback for 3 years + only to be told “basically she can be played the same as before” ( Capcom’s exact words ).

You will have to excuse our frustration i suppose.

I’d say Sakura simply because she doesn’t get mauled by Dictator, boxer and Fang. She has a lot of shit matchups, but sagat’s are worse. Her gameplan is simpler and much more effective as well.

Sakura is an SFV character, Sagat is a dead king.

I mean you can just throw a fireball and Juri can’t walk up on you because her fireball won’t clash. Her walk down game with LK Fuha is shitty, once she’s spent it you just stay close and don’t let her store up for free.
