A Mika player losing 2-0 to the Ken player that won the weekly switching to FALKE to try to turn the game around.

That’s the point. There was a lot of people playing Sagat but they weren’t getting results. The best thing Sanford did with Sagat was win an exhibition match with no money on the line AFAIK vs Justin. Like that shit was great and all, but you didn’t get any CPT points or trophy.
People played him, but it was mostly out of loyalty.
Check this out for reference. The guy who won CPT 2018, he was a SAGAT player in IV. People barely ever said his name compared to Bonchan and he didn’t win shit.
What happens when he becomes a Rashid player in V? He wins the most cash event of the year.

Quite possible. But he also straight up won Final Round with AE2012 Sagat iirc, I’d say that counts.

True, I was just making my own separate point that when you leave Sagat for top tier characters you win more. Sagat can/will be around but his days of winning shit regularly has been over since Dark Ages.
He’s counter pick pick him for what you need character. Just the people that play him are unfortunately loyalists that lock themselves into not winning. Bonchan at least has a better character spread in S4 for winning events though so we’ll see how it goes later in the season.

True, Hart does “main” Gat in V last I checked but he just doesn’t get far enough to be up on stream. He also focuses Tekken again nowadays, think he’s just kinda past it for competing now. Still a monster though.

Also he doesn’t compete as much in Tekken anymore, which will make his grudge match vs Rip pretty interesting. His Kazuya is really fun to watch either way. :v
Yeah I just meant if he were still at his IV level, we’d see his Sagat in V pop up in streams. It’s either Sagat or Akuma IIRC.
