I wouldn’t still be playing SFV online if the netcode was bad as some people hate on it to be. I can play especially PC people pretty flawless usually.
UMVC3 was a game where the netcode was so bad that I literally only played it offline. Luckily it had an offline scene big enough for it. If UMVC3 was a small game I would have just stopped playing it. Cloud805 started off as a UMVC3 online warrior in a game where it’s a miracle if you can do anything online.
Wasn’t part of SNKs rationale for big damage something along the lines of “they’re using swords. Swords are supposed to hurt”?
Not that I really need a rationale for single hits to do big damage, but it’s a nice change from stuff like SC6 where people hit you twelve times in a combo with a Final Fantasy 7-type of sword and do about 30% damage from that.
Yeah, majority of matches are flawless or just a few hiccups. Makes me wonder how many people are on Micky d wifi complaining about lag and rollback lol.
But then theres peeps like twin who have good internet but goddamn are they unplayable.
SFV netcode seems fine but crossplay seems to make the connection more unstable. That and there are the random unplayable connections to people who aren’t even that far lol.
I hate when you are looking for a music video on YT and its one of those ghetto “videos” that’s just random clips of the artist (and sometimes not even that) with the song played over it.
That’s just how SamSho is, there has to be said that there are characters that do less damage but have faster moves like Galford and Nakoruru, I suspect Shiki will be even faster considering what she’s supposed to be.
Also, I can’t blame people for not digging SamSho. I love the art, but I hate everything else about the game and the way it plays. I absolutely positively KNEW this was going to happen.
All truth. One of the things that consistently bugs me about SFV’s online is that it feels sort of like a crap shoot as to whether or not I’ll have a good connection with someone. Just because they are close doesn’t make it so.
Also question for everyone that I never really thought about: when you search for matches, do you filter by platform? I know crossplay can get funky but I usually let it rock to keep the player pool broad.
